'Kat! Are you ready to go!' My mum hollered up the stairs
I sighed, packing the last few things into my suitcase. 'Yes, i'll be down in a minute!'
Today was the day, i was moving to Manchester from Yorkshire because of my dad's stupid job! He announced last month that we were going to have to move at one point but i never realised how soon that would be.. This meant leaving my best friends behind and all my aunties, uncles, cousins and the worst part my Gran. She was getting old and needed help to do a lot of things. I would normally go and see her everyday after school. Maybe to clean up or have dinner with her. I'm going to miss her so badly!
I got into our red car, stuffing bags of clothes and electronics into the seat beside me whilst my dad handed the keys over to the estate agent.
Luckily we had a seven seater car, so i never had to sit with my younger brother Josh who was eight and incredibly annoying! Or my little sister Lily, who i must admit was the cutest little sister anybody could ask for but can get a bit grouchy when travelling. She is five.
I held my hand up to the window of the car as i waved goodbye to my childhood house. Manchester here i come...
