Sitting still, speechless in my wheelchair, I was surrounded by tall, intimidating students with auras that could kill anybody.

"You... Which school are you from?" The navy blue-haired girl wearing a black face mask said in a low, cold voice.

As her shadow looms over me, I trembled in fear as I roll my chair back until I was backed into a wall.

Tears began to trickle down as I hugged my frightened tail for reassurance.

Of course, there is one thing I have to ask myself.

'How and why were they here?!'

And——Cut!

Okay, I know you're asking, 'How did it come to this?' Well, to answer that question, let's turn back time a little...

After Sensei and I got off the bus, he pushed my wheelchair as we headed towards our destination. Everything went smoothly, like any other day. It felt peaceful, in fact.

When I was in the hospital, I dreaded the outside world, fearing it would be too overwhelming for someone like me. But after the shopping trip and on our way to Schale, I felt relieved to find my fears were unfounded.

Anyway, it didn't take long since we left the bus before I felt a tap on my shoulder and heard Sensei's voice saying, "Kodou, we're here."

With my ears perking up with curiosity, I couldn't help but ask him, "Can I take off my blindfold?"

I mean, this is sort of a golden opportunity. Rather than looking at an image from a screen, wouldn't it be better to see the real deal?

Upon hearing my question, he pondered for a moment. "Let's see... Well, after looking around, I don't think there should be any problems," he concluded.

"Really?" I asked before nodding, "Okay."

Pulling down my blindfold, a bright flash of light temporarily blinded my eyes. When the colors began to clear, painting a serene picture before me, I was finally greeted by the towering structure of the Schale Building.

What can I say? It was nothing short of amazing.
