Inside a hospital room, a TV played softly in the background. The news broadcast caught everyone's attention as it announced a groundbreaking development.
From the broadcast, a bubbly blonde with star-shaped pupils beamed at the camera with high energy that can even blind people beyond the screen.
"Hello to everyone watching this video! I'm the idol reporter of Kronos School's News Club, Kawaru Shinon! We've got an absolutely incredible scoop for you today, straight from Millennium Academy!"
With the camera adjusting to capture the magnificent view of Millennium Academy, countless students can be seen gossiping about the recent achievement.
"Did you know?" The reporter exclaims as the camera shifts back to her. "Rumor has it that one of those super-tough Millennium Prize Problems has been solved! Can you believe it?" She grins excitedly. "Let's see if we can find someone to give us the juicy details!"
As the camera followed the enthusiastic reporter, they spotted a familiar, tired-looking girl with striking purple hair.
Not missing the chance, the reporter pounced. "Excuse me! You with the cute purple hair! Do you have a moment for Kronos News?"
The girl, startled out of her exhaustion, blinked slowly. "What? Oh... Kronos News? I suppose I have a moment."
Shinon's excitement was evident as she pressed on. "As a member of Millennium's Student Council, Seminar," she stated, establishing the credibility of her source. "Is it true that someone has really cracked one of those impossible math problems?"
The purple-haired girl suppressed a yawn, her blue eyes with unusual red, snake-like pupils betraying her fatigue. "Yes, it's true. One of the Millennium Prize Problems has been solved. We've spent the past few days verifying the solution."
"Wow, that's amazing!" Shinon exclaimed, her eyes sparkling. "I heard it was solved in just four hours! Is that also true? If so, would this mean we have the new second coming of the 'Once in a Millennium Genius' from your school? And by any chance, can we get their name?"
The tired girl's expression softened slightly with pride, despite her exhaustion.
"The solver's accomplishment is indeed remarkable, but we're not comparing them to past figures. However, I can't answer your last question. They've asked to remain anonymous, and we are respecting their wishes."
Undeterred, Shinon persisted, "Come on, is there anything more you can share? Any clues about their background or how they managed this feat so quickly?"
The purple-haired girl stood firm. "I apologize, but I have to end this interview," she said, her tone polite but firm. "For that person's well-being, I really can't disclose any more details at the moment. So, if you'll excuse me-" She began to walk away.
As she retreated, Shinon called out one last question, "Ah- Wait! What about the Million Pyroxene Prize!" But her query went unanswered as the exhausted girl disappeared from view.
While the scene unfolds with the reporter chasing the tired student council member, the door to the hospital room opened, revealing a group of maids.
"Kodou-chan!" a cheerful voice called out, "We came to visit again!"
"Asuna-neesan!" A young girl with white hair and fox-like features beamed at the newcomers.
With Asuna, the girl with beige hair and an infectious smile, leading the group. From her bed, Kodou's fluffy ears perked up in excitement as she watched her friends step into the room one by one.
"Congratulations on getting into Millennium, Kodou-san." A maid wearing glasses added while she stepped aside to reveal what's behind her.
"Look!" The first maid, Asuna, gestured to a dark-skinned girl holding a cake box. "We even brought this to celebrate!"
