♤ Chapter 27 ♤
Her name
┕━━━━━✿━━━━━┙Sebastian's POV
FOR ONCE IN A LONG WHILE, I could hear the thoughts running through my head. There wasn't an overwhelming busy crowd of people, no roaring engines of vehicles. All I heard was the calm breeze of air, and the gentle patter of livestock by the stables.
I smiled to myself as my eyes laid on my love as she stood by the fences at the overlooking of the waterfalls. She fit the view perfectly. I couldn't help but feel a sense of remembrance when I saw her pick a floral yellow sundress that hugged her curves utterly.
And when she turned around and her eyes met mine, her lips tugged by its corners, a smile gracing her beauty. She smiled, heavens she smiled.
I'd admit guilty if you accused me of reminiscing the past too often. Suddenly, I was back in 1933. Only I was pulled back when her golden orbs met mine. This was the present, Rosalie was still here.
That's a habit that I needed to break. There's no use forcing and comparing the past to the present.
"Your thoughts are too loud." She mumbled. I was at a great distance, but of course I would be able to hear it.
Shaking my head at my own antics, I made my way towards her, the locals weren't paying us too much attention. They valued privacy here, somehow that appeals to me.
"Are you a telepath now, love?" I teased, my arms circling around her waist as she continued to stare ahead.
I've always loved how her whole being always engulfs my senses. Her scent, her aura, just her. All of a sudden, I didn't care about whatever happens anywhere. That's how she calms me down. I feel Rosalie.
"Please, I don't need Edward's gift to see through you. Your eyebrows could compete with the cows here." She chuckled, humming to herself right after.
If anyone would observe us right now, I'd say they'd be astounded at the change of behavior of us two. Since we arrived in Lauterbrunnen here in Switzerland, a frown never graced her face. Her signature scowl was absent and didn't dare make an appearance.
As for me, well, I'm me. It was a bit offensive to be compared to a cattle.
"I just love how peaceful it is here compared to Forks." I replied as she turned around, facing me instead.
A couple of bite marks on her neck had decorated her skin and my eyes automatically trailed towards them, thumb caressing the places that I did after what we had done last night. Vampire venom can last for a while, I guess that's our version of human hickeys?
"Mind out of the gutter." She smirked, giving me a light tap on my chest before strutting towards the stoned pathway.
This time, it was her thoughts that were calling to me. She pranced with such elegance but her expression remained still, as if she was operating just instinctively.
"You want to ask me something." I said, rather than ask. Usually, Rose was a straightforward person, never afraid to voice out what she thinks or ponders. I wonder what this is about.
