Is it patience? Or is it endurance?

The answer will oscillate between the two, and it will have everything to do with the word you despise the most : Feelings.

Y/N's father was a terrible parent, but he had said quite a few inspirational things that altered her manner of thinking. At night, she would lay awake repeating his words, realising just how accurately they had defined her life. Most of the lessons he had given to her as a child had proven to come in handy on more than one occasion, and she would, for sure, thank him for that once she would get over the bitter taste that his name left on her tongue. Now wasn't the time to sing his praises.

She was raking her brain over and over, turning that damned thing upside down in the hopes of coming to a conclusion ── was she being patient, or was she merely testing the limits of her endurance? These doubts revolved around a certain girl for once, not the infuriating piece of shit she had to deal with on a daily basis. Who might she be? A plot device?

"Just wait and see, I'll definitely become the light of Ksharewar!"

Layla sighed, picking another cardboard piece from the pile. "You will, Kaveh. But why did Mr. Zhou drag me into this mess? I'm nowhere near as smart as you guys!"
