Chapter 3

BETHANY POV
I woke up the next morning at 6:30 then I remembered that I don't have school. "Great." I said to myself. Even though it was early I still got up and took a shower. After I took a shower I got dressed. I wore my favorite baseball cap a tee shirt, jean shorts and my red converse. I walked into Joseph's room he was still sleeping. I left a note on his head saying that I was leaving and I would be back later. I grabbed my backpack, baseball bat, and my glove and headed out the door. I grabbed my bike and rode it to my friend Emily's house.

*time lapse*

I finally arrived at her house. I ran up and knocked on the door,and Emily answered. "EMILY!!" I screamed. "Bethany hi I missed u so much!"
"I missed you too"
"I thought you had school today."
"Nah, I got suspended for three days."
"What did you do this time?!"
"Punched a kid in the face."
"Well then...."
"Can you play baseball?"
"Sure let me get my glove."
"Ok"
Emily is home schooled so she can play whenever she wants to. We played baseball for a few hours then i went home.

*time lapse*

When I got home I saw a note on the front door it said

Bethany,
Hey it's Joseph I ran to Squids house I will be home soon. Mom is home so be careful

Joseph

I walked in and started walking up the stairs then I hear a voice behind me "FREEZE I SAID FREEZE YOU LITTLE RAT!!!" I turned around slowly and stared at my mother. "Yes can I help you mom?" "Why aren't you in school?" Shit she asked the question I feared to answer. "I-i Got suspended for 3 days, for punching a girl in the face." "Grounded for 3 weeks and no food, go to your room!" I slowly turned around and walked up to my room. I squished my face into the pillows on my bed and cried.

*time lapse*

STAMPY POV
I got home earlier than expected. When I walk into the house I heard sobbing from upstairs. It's Bethany I just know it is. But why would she be crying? I ran upstairs and into Bethany's room. I saw her on her bed crying her eyes out. I sat on her bed next to her and stroked my hand through her hair. "What's wrong Bethany?" "Her." She replied. "What did do she do this time?" Her response was "Grounded me because I got suspended, and I can have any food." I felt so bad for her. Life is so hard for her. She was crying even harder now. I rubbed her back. "Everything's going to be ok." I said. I hugged her, she hugged me back. She started to say something "J-Joseph is my d-dad ever coming b-back?" She was crying very hard now. "I don't know Bethany if he will ever come back, but remember I'm always here for you, I'll be your second dad."

*time lapse*

BETHANY POV
The suspension was over, time to go back to school. I got dressed and headed out. I rode my bike to school because I wanted to avoid Riley as much as possible.

I arrived at school. I slowly walked through the doors. The second I walked in everyone stared at me. I waved and walked down the hallway to my first class.

*time lapse*

School was over and I rode my bike home. I did my homework from all the days I missed and then did my other homework from today. "Ugh I hate homework!" I groaned. Joseph came in my room and sat on my bed. "What's up Joseph?" I asked. "I need to talk to you." "What is it Joe?" He finally spoke up " I-I'm leaving tomorrow to go to a convention with Squid in L.A." "WHAT?!?!?!" I started to cry. "Joseph please don't leave!" I cried even harder. I hugged him, he hugged me back. "Bethany it's ok I'll only be gone a week." "A WEEK!?!?! That's so long! I won't live!" I never let go of him. We fell asleep on my bed together hugging.
