𝙅𝙪𝙡𝙮 10, 2005𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘚𝘊𝘏𝘖𝘖𝘓 𝘏𝘈𝘓𝘓𝘚 𝘞𝘌𝘙𝘌 𝘌𝘔𝘗𝘛𝘠, cold, dark. The only source of light being the moon hung high and mighty on the black starless night sky that was visible through the windows. The only sound that existed in this empty space was produced by my hasty steps as I made my way hurriedly to the infirmary. Even that required the most trained ears to catch.
Too much time had gone by with this meeting and Kaori's well being clouded my thoughts. Naoya could wait until tomorrow. He and his missions weren't as important right now. And honestly, I wasn't in the mood to talk to him...
Finally reaching the right room, I slid the door open. The smell of medicine and antiseptic assaulted my senses, while the sight of a passed out white haired girl disheartened me further.
Shouldn't have let her come...
Too late now to feel guilty.
Atsuya was sat on the chair beside her bed, eyes trained on the ring around her finger, seemingly afraid it would disappear. Though his gaze instantly found mine when I stepped into the small white room. Purple clashing with steel.
"Okaka..." His voice was soft and worried, like a whisper that was almost lost in the wind that blew through the open window.
"I know. " it's my fault. "I'll try something new this time. "
"Takana?"
"She'll be ok."
"Takana? "
A pause. I wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into. The nature of my cursed energy was mostly foreign to me even now, after so many years of brutal training and honing. I didn't know what I could and couldn't do, so my only option was trial and error. This means that I was going in blind to a very dangerous battle most of the time. The drawbacks as unfamiliar as the benefits.
My cursed energy, except for its weird red color, is very adaptable. That alone unlocks a variety of skills with unknown results... But apart from that, this unique nature seems to attract energy sensitive beings, like for example curses... Or extremely aware sorcerers.
