Episode 4

Neharika's POV

I came out of washroom maybe within 15 minutes but for me it was like a whole day. I rubbed my eyes and went downstairs just to see them all seating together laughing at something. The shocking thing was Aryamaan was also laughing with them.

He only laughs with family members but today she is here. Looking at me Ryan said "Mom what took you so long?" hearing him, Aryamaan's face turned serious. The smile he was adoring was faded and Rhea's mom or say Mihika's also.

I just shook my head saying "Nothing. I think everything is sorted so can I set the table?" I asked looking at everyone. They all nodded and I went inside to set table. I could see they all mingled well but here I was still avoiding them.

I saw Ryan coming towards my direction, I composed myself and said "What are you doing here?" he pouted saying "want to help my Mumma who is working from morning just for this meeting." I smiled pecking his cheeks, my reason of living is pretty agreeable? Isn't it?

He started helping me and said "Mom, Dad and Mihika aunty were friends that too from junior college and in graduation also." I looked at him smiling and nodded my head. He said "Didn't you know? Didn't dad tell you about her? She is so cool Mom..."

"No, he didn't." I said doing my work. He said "Thank God they were friends because of that dad agreed for my marriage Mummaa..." he chirped hugging me. I caressed his hairs saying "Happy for my handsome son."

"What are mother son duo talking?" Hearing that voice my head snapped at her. It was Mihika, she smiled at me and so did I. Like did I have any other option? NOOOO.... Ryan said "Nothing aunty, I was just telling Mom about what happened when she was in restroom." she nodded smiling at us asking to Ryan "You love your mother very much, right?"

He pecked my cheeks saying "more than anyone and anything aunty." I smiled hearing him, no one asked him this question but I felt somehow proud hearing his answer. She then said looking at me "I think my daughter have good eyes then..." I nodded with smile saying "Indeed, my son is a gem."

She nodded with smile and within a minute everyone started coming and took their seats, me and Sujal served everyone and sat on our places and started dinner.

I was just eating little by little, we heard Papa's voice "Mihika, I'm okay with this marriage and cast is not a barrier. They love each other and agreed for this then who we are to stop them? I think the marriage needs to done in next month because Rhea is pregnant." Everyone nodded their head so did I.

Aryamaan said "I also agree, so let's have their engagement in 15 days and then marriage?" Mihika's family nodded their head. I lost my appetite looking at my husband who was laughing and smiling talking with them. He never gave attention to anyone except our family but today he did and I was not liking it.

Suddenly Ryan asked me "Mom, are you okay with this marriage?" I smiled at him saying "I'm happy with everything as long as you're happy." hearing me he said looking at Mihika "That's why I said my Mom is always the one whom I love the most." she nodded.

"Did I miss something?" Aryamaan asked looking at Mihika and Ryan, they both shook their head. After dinner, I served them ice cream but I didn't eat any. When they were going Aryamaan asked "Why don't you stay here tonight? Mihika and Vehant?" they both shook their head saying "No we are going tomorrow morning to Nashik and Rhea has rented apartment in Mumbai so we are okay."

Everyone bid their bye and made their way towards room. I went to kitchen and started cleaning the counter, after cleaning I went to room to sleep.

Aryamaan's POV

When I turned to meet Rhea's parents my whole world stopped, there was standing my Mihika. Who was clutching a man's hand who was around my age. I guessed he is her husband. My tears were betraying me, she became old like me but still manage to look pretty.
