It was now the next day in the morning.
They had driven all the way to Ottawa.
Corry was sleeping but Enzo was all caffeinated and energised .
He was also worried about what Sascha was gonna do to her.
His tapping on the wheel with his boney fingers. He did that when he was stressed .
He looked at her sleep , she was so peaceful .
As he got lost looking at her , he almost hit a truck.
They arrived at a random shack in the woods .
« Wake up darling » he shook her awake . « we're here. »
Corry opened her eyes and yawned .When she saw the shack , she was not impressed .
« How can a mafia live in this shack , he broke or something ? » she joked
Enzo didn't laugh
« First off , Don't judge a book by its cover and second , mafias are never broke . »
That was enough to shut her up.
They both got out of the car making their way towards the tiny house .
« So a few rules before you enter ... »
Corry switched her attention from the shack to him
« ....stay close to me , don't touch anything , don't talk to anyone and don't be sassy with Sascha »
Suddenly 2 bodyguards came out the bushes :
« Who is this Canyon ? » the first one asked
« Lars don't worry she's with me »
« Why did you show her our base ? » the second one asked
« Because she helped me bury a dead body . »
«That doesn't qualify as a reason » the first one said
« I killed her father , she helped me clean up and bury him . And if you're wondering if she can call anyone , I broke her phone when she was asleep .
The young girl was shocked that he had broken her phone .
The two bodyguards nodded and let them through the door .
When the door closed Corry could finally breath and asked :
« You broke my phone ? »
« Yeah I rolled over it many times »
Corry took a deep breath to fall down and asked :
« So who is Sascha ?»
Enzo bent down and pressed on a wooden plank
« Someone who won't hesitate to kill you » he said while looking up
Corry got the chills
An elevator got out of the floor and released its doors .
The girl looked surprised.
« I take back what I said »
Enzo gave a smirk , proud of awing her .
They entered the elevator and as soon as the door closed , it went down really fast .
The girl screamed away like there was no tomorrow, while the boy was just standing there on his phone .
After a while , they finally arrived . The doors opened to reveal an enormous room filled with all kinds of machines and guns and weapons .
And there were about 50 men
There was a big dining table that could fit 300 men , a big sofa with a big tv and behind some other doors were the kitchens.At the end was a metal door .
Corry's mouth dropped again .
« You know you're gonna end up swallowing a fly one day » Enzo commented .
He then shut her mouth with his hand
« Oh shut up bus boy » she rolled her eyes
No one had really paid attention to them when they got here , but after she said that ,their eyes were on them
Enzo smacked his forehead
« I thought I told you to shut up » he whispered
«i ThOuGhT I ToLd YoU to sHuT up. » she mimicked in a deep voice
« Just don't look at any of them and follow me up to my room » He whispered
She nodded
As they were walking by , men were whistling and one even said :
« Hey Canyon , can we share ? »
« Shut up Rivers »
Corry gave a confused look
Canyon ? Rivers ? Are those code names?
Another one asked :
« Hey bus boy who is this »
« No one »
That kinda hurt Corry , she was no one to him ?
She shook of the feeling .
As they continued walking , Corry kept looking around , the room was filled with guns .
Her eyes opened when she saw a man holding a bazooka .
They were now face to face with the door .
Enzo pressed on the tablet and put his hand on it .
The door opened to reveal a long hallway filled with doors .
« Ok come on »
Enzo started walking , Corry was about to follow until she felt blood run down her cheek , she looked to her right and there was a knife stuck on the wall .
« Sneaking people in are we ? » said the voice
Enzo turned around and his jaw clenched
« Sascha...»
