Brooke
I slowly sat up in my bed and used my hand to block my eyes from the bright sun that shone through the large windows in my room. Then the migraine hit me and so did all of those drinks I consumed last night. Which, honestly I knew wasn't the best option, but I chose to do it anyway.
I'm usually a big party girl. I love going out, meeting new people, and drinking. Well maybe not the 'meeting new people'. I usually like being with my friends. Anyone else overwhelmed me and I hated having to act like I liked someone just because they were someone I didn't completely know. But If I were to meet new people and actually like them, most of it would be for the benefit of me. That's the only time I whip out the fake smiles and obnoxious jokes and laughs.
It isn't the best aspect of me, but at least I get something out of it.
But as for being a party girl I just love the feeling of letting loose and not having to worry about anything because then when it came to work I was stern. I wasn't going to let anything get in my way.
You could say I'm a perfectionist.
I then sat up in my bed and immediately grabbed my phone to check the time. Irresponsible, I forgot to set my alarm last night as I tiredly got into bed so I wasn't even aware of my time. And we had to film today. Shit.
What if I'm late?
I then check the time and see I have a limited time to get ready, and it may not be enough.
I got ready quickly and skipped my hair and threw it into a bun. Our call time today was earlier than most days. I should've put it later knowing I was going to be drinking but these damn actors can't get these scenes right sometimes and I need the extra time to perfect every single scene. And competition is tough, and I wasn't going to let anyone think that they were better than me.
Before I left though, I was quick to grab glasses and some Tylenol. This hangover wasn't going to cure itself. I then left my house in a hurry to get to set on time to set everything up. Let's hope nobody screws up today.
I luckily arrived on time, thanks to my speeding on the highway. I then walked straight to the stage set we were supposed to be on today and as I walked around everyone seemed to be here on time. Lucky me. I walked through the main set making sure everything was set for today and surprisingly everything was in line.
I guess people do learn from their mistakes. Especially when you yell at them.
Last week was a wreck. For it being everyone's first week people were a little rusty and I wasn't going to let that pass. People needed to know I was serious and I wasn't going to let anyone slack off. We needed to get this movie done and it needed to be done fast.
My assistant suddenly comes up behind me tapping me on the shoulder.
"Yes Ashley?" I said to her, my voice coming off harsher than I would've liked.
This hangover definitely isn't helping with my attitude.
"You're wearing those glasses inside, and when you do, I can guess you went out. Are you sure you can work today?" She asks, her voice coming off a bit small and shaky.
"I'm fine Ashley, can I please just have my schedule? I'm not sure I'm prepared for another day here. And walk with me please." I say as I start walking towards the actors hangout spot.
