In the depths of my heart,
a flicker of hope ignited
As I looked into your eyes,
feeling something so right
I was always unlucky in love,
But you appeared like a beam,
a guiding light to follow
You made me believe
in the magic of love once more
With your words of comfort and promises
I let myself fall for you,
surrendering to the allure
Thinking you were the one,
my heart felt so sure
But the truth unveiled its harsh reality,
when you said we'll only ever be friends
The pain of rejection pierced through me
We were not destined to be together
And the ache in my soul,left me feeling sore
Late-night chats and words of reassurance,
making me feel I was loved
Was that all just an act of friendship?
Why give me hope, only to snatch it away?
Leaving me lost in the shadows of dismay
Once more, fate proved,
how unlucky was I in love
Leaving me with an incomplete wish
and a broken heart all over again
