You said our love is impossible
You said us being together is not practical
Really? Just because we met online
as strangers, and became friends
Does it mean, our love is forbidden?
Knowing all of this already
I still fell for you
You can't control falling in love they say,
I sometimes wonder,
Is it truly unattainable? Forbidden?
Or just a convenient excuse,
To deny the possibility of us together
I cling to a ray of hope,
That perhaps, deep down,
You feel the same pull,
But something restrains you,
Holding back the tide of emotion.
