Peyton had never shut her phone off so quick. The embarrassment washed through her in rapid waves that just wouldn't stop.
She was sat on her couch in her apartment the day after the hockey game she went to. She never expected to be texting the captain of the Vancouver Canucks. Hell, she didn't even know who the captain of the Canucks was.
She did many things to try and take her mind off the embarrassment. She listens to music, drew, painted, read, she even tried to cook, which was a disaster. It looked like a hurricane came through her kitchen. She moved on to baking, which turned out better than cooking.
But the embarrassment still lingered. It was smaller than it initially was, but it was there. So she did the one thing that came to mind.
She texted him.
MESSAGES WITH 'QUINNY'
I'm sorry about ignoring your texts
I was embarrassed and a little shocked
I don't hate you or anything
Quinny It's all good
I would've done the same thing
And I'm glad you don't hate me
I thought I fucked a perfectly good friendship up
No friendships have been fucked up
Quinny Good
I was about to start raging
Or crying
Or both
I cry a lot
It's fun
Favourite activity
Quinny Oh
Not sure how to respond to that
Probably best you don't
I start crying very easily
Quinny I have a question and if it's over stepping any boundaries I'm so sorry I'll give you my address just so you can come over and slap me
What is it????
Quinny Since you know what I look like, I was wondering what you look like, I have been since we first started texting, so I was gonna ask if you could send a picture of yourself
You don't have to
It's okay if you don't want to
It's fine, Quinn
I just need to find a good picture
