Peyton walked into Rogers Arena, Amelia at her side. She was wearing the jersey Quinn had brought her with a pair of black leggings and a beenie on her head — partly because her ears got cold very easily, partly to lower the chances of her getting recognized as the girl that went out with Quinn. Some fans were absolutely certain that she was and she didn't want anyone to see her and take a picture then post it to Twitter or TikTok or any other social media platform.
They took their seats that were more to the middle rows. The teams had just came out for warmups. The second Quinn stepped onto the ice, Peyton's eyes were glued to him. She watched as he stretched then skated around, doing anything he can to get prepared for the game.
When the game was over, the Canucks winning 3-1 against the Blue Jackets, a security guard came up to Peyton and Amelia and asked them to follow him. They both were confused as they got up and followed him, silently questioning if either of them did something wrong. All worries soon disappeared as they ended up outside the Canucks locker room.
They both felt out of place, though. Some of the other wags were looking at them questionably, obviously not familiar with them. None of the wags knew that Quinn had gotten a girlfriend. Peyton shifted uncomfortably under their stares. She got really uncomfortable when people stared at her for longer than five seconds, so the lingering stares she was receiving for several different beautiful women made her uncomfortable.
The door to the dressing room opened and out came two of Quinn's teammates. Despite being born and raised in Vancouver, she couldn't remember either of their names, she always sucked at putting names to faces.
After about fifteen — maybe twenty — minutes, out came the person she was looking most forward to seeing. Quinn came walking out, with damp hair from a shower. He ran a hand through his damp hair, shaking some water out of his hair. He looked up, a smile spreading across his face as he laid eyes on the most beautiful girl standing about fifteen feet in front of him.
He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist, her's immediately going around the back of his neck. He nestled his head in between the junction where her neck meets her shoulder. Quinn breathed in her scent. She smelted like her strawberry pound cake perfume that she always got from Bath and Body Works. It was one of her favourite scents and he understood why, she smelt amazing.
Quinn lifted his head and leaned down, pressing a quick kiss on her lips. Peyton smiled up at him, a twinkle in her eyes. She leaned her head forward and placed it on his chest, moving her arms to his waist, making him move his arms to her shoulders. She smiled and turned their bodies toward Amelia, who was smiling while looking at the two. She was so happy that her best friend was able to move on and find love again after her last relationship.
"Elias is leaving me alone tonight," Quinn told her. "Do you wanna come to my apartment?"
Peyton looked over at Amelia, silently asking if it would be okay for her to abandon her.
"Yeah, go ahead," Amelia said. "I just need your keys so I can get home."
Peyton pulled her keys out of the pocket of her leggings and handed them over to her. Amelia took the keys from her. They said their goodbyes as they went separate ways, Amelia to the visitors parking lot, while Peyton and Quinn went to the player parking lot. Peyton interlocked their hands, smiling up at him as he smiled down at her.
When they reached his car, Quinn walked to the passenger door and opened it for Peyton. She thanked him with a small coat of blush covering her face. He closed the door and quickly walked around to the driver's side, getting in and starting the car.
The couple walked into Quinn's apartment building, towards the elevator. They waited in a comfortable silence for the elevator, Peyton leaning on Quinn's arm. It was late and she was slowly growing tired as the minutes went on. The elevator dinged, the metal doors opening to let people in and out. They stepped in, Quinn pressing the button for his floor.
"Sleepy?" Quinn asked, looking down at the girl that leaned on his arm for support.
"Very," Peyton answered, a small yawn escaping her lip.
Quinn lightly chuckled and placed a kiss on the top of her head. She smiled and leaned further into him.
Soon enough, the two were in Quinn's apartment. Peyton would've taken a look around, but she was too tired to. Quinn lead her to his room, where he gave her one of his shirts and a pair of shorts for her to sleep in. He left the room with some clothes for him, leaving her to change in his room.
When Quinn was done getting changed, he knocked on his bedroom door, asking if it was okay for him to come in. When he received a faint 'yeah' from the other side of the door, he pushed it open, finding Peyton sat at the end of his bed.
"Which side of the bed do you want?" Quinn asked, pushing the door closed as he stepped into the room.
"I sleep on my left side, but I want to be able to cuddle," Peyton told him.
"Well, then you take that side," Quinn pointed to the one side of the bed. "And I'll take this one."
Peyton nodded and crawled up the bed, getting under the covers. Quinn got in on the other side, pulling Peyton closer to him. He kissed her on the top of the head and told her goodnight, getting a faint 'night' in return before she was out like a light.
