Backstory:
Sydney found out that she was deaf at the age of 1. She had an ear infection and it got so bad to the point where she lost her hearing. She taught herself sign language so she could communicate with her family. She's never had friends in her life so she relied on books and warm weather as her escape from the world. She moved to Arizona to have a new life and to get away from her hometown to have the life she always dreamed of.

Backstory:
Alex was born and raised in Phoenix his entire life. He loved books, cactus, warm weather, and hockey (yes, Arizona has hockey). Alex has had some rough times in his life with his family. With a deaf mom and an abusive dad, he's struggled a bit. With the sudden change of his mom not being able to hear and his dad not wanting his wife to go deaf, his house completely flipped. But Alex loved his mom enough for the both of them to learn sign language together. But little did Alex know, that sign was going to be put to better use.
