GingerBrave wandered mindlessly throughout the kingdom. He wasn't exactly doing anything, just taking a stroll to clear his head. He's been thinking a lot recently... about Wizard, mostly.

Wait- WAIT! Not that way, no homo, right?

Anyways, he'd been thinking. Wizard cookie has been acting odd. He was normally so focused and efficient, both in his magic and in battle. But recently he had been faltering. Wizard was always (always, always.) focused. Brave envied his ability to focus to well, but now that Wizard was struggling... it concerned him, more than he'd like to admit. And to add to that, he seemed to be avoiding him as well! Did he do something to Wizard? He was his best friend; they swore they'd never leave each other. Did Wizard find someone better than him? I mean, that wouldn't necessarily be a hard thing to do. He was THE most common and basic cookie in the whole kingdom. There were so many better, more supportive, kind, and charismatic cookies. Brave grumbled as he stuffed his hands deep into the pockets of his hoodie, kicking stones off the sidewalk in frustration.

As he walked past Herbs shop, a display in the window caught his eye. A bouquet, containing a mix of moonflowers, white roses, and delphiniums. It was a stunning arrangement, the colors and shapes of the flowers worked so well together. The bouquet was tied together with a thin, golden ribbon, and the flowers were wrapped in shiny, silver, mesh. Brave was taken aback.
This was perfect for Wizard! It was pretty much his color scheme, and he loved moonflowers and delphiniums. GingerBrave rushed into the shop and approached Herb, who was tending to his Venus flytraps. "Herb!" He exclaimed. Herb jumped in response and turned quickly.
"GingerBrave? Hello! I wasn't expecting anyone just yet, hehe, sorry for getting startled." Herb sheepishly said.

"Oh, no, don't be sorry. I shouldn't have snuck up on you like that. Anyways, is that bouquet in the window for sale?" He questioned. Herb smiled and nodded.

"Yup! It's 12 coins." Herb told him. GingerBrave was almost buzzing with excitement. He really liked surprising Wizard with little gifts here and there. He thought it was adorable, the way he'd light up and blush, saying he didn't have to. Brave was well aware he never needed to spoil Wizard the way he did, but he did it regardless because of how much he love- LIKED. Liked him. No homo. GingerBrave quickly walked towards the bouquet and gently took it in his hands. He brought it up to the counter where Herb had already arrived. Brave set the bouquet on the counter and dug around in his pockets for the coins. He gave Herb a total of 15 coins, insisting he keep them all. Herb gave Brave his bouquet, and he damn near sprinted back home to gift them to Wizard.

GingerBrave barged into the house that he, Wizard, Chili, and Custard shared. Strawberry stayed there from time to time, but she had her own house with GingerBright. Brave set the bouquet on the counter and set off into Wizard's room to find him. "Wiz!!" He exclaimed while knocking on the door. He heard a clatter and Wizard yelp. He snickered quietly.

BRAVE'S POV

The door opened and I saw Wizard running his fingers through his disheveled hair. "Oh, hey Brave. Need something?" He asked casually.

"Yeah! I got something for you, come downstairs." I quickly yelled, running down the hall and gesturing Wizard to follow me. I ran down the stairs and quickly picked up the bouquet, holding it behind my back. I saw Wizard run down the stairs and approach me, tired and confused.

"Ugh, what is it?" He asked while trying to peek behind my back. I smiled and held out the bouquet in his face.

"Surprise!" I happily exclaimed. I could see Wizard's eyes light up as he held the bouquet, examining it. I eagerly awaited what he thought of the gift.

WIZARD'S POV

My face heated up as Brave held a bouquet in front of my face. I took it into my hands and observed it silently. There were delphiniums, moonflowers, and white roses. It was a very beautiful bouquet, if I say so myself. In fact, it was perfect. "I- thank you..." I whispered. I couldn't bring myself to look Brave in the eye, but I could tell he was just radiating with happiness.

Ugh... he's just so stupid! Who does he think he is, giving me so many gifts, being so considerate, and caring, making me so flustered all the time. I noticed how he always gave so many gifts to me, not even on any special occasions, but then for other cookies, he usually only gifted them on Christmas, or their birthdays. And even then, he didn't put as much thought into their gifts as he did into mine. I blushed and pulled my scarf up and hid my face in the bouquet. Maybe Chili wasn't exaggerating when she said Brave would do anything for me...

"I'm so happy you liked the gift! I saw it in Herb's shop, and it reminded me a lot of you. It even had your favorite flowers." GingerBrave rambled, while running his fingers through the flowers and pointing out the ones that I liked. I blushed and mumbled. 'You stupid idiot...'

"What was that?" he asked.

"Uh- n-nothing." I stammered. I shoved my face farther into the bouquet and took in the scent. It did smell lovely, but I was mainly just trying to hide my face, after all I was probably beet red by now. GingerBrave seemed to find this amusing, as I heard him stifle a laugh. I looked up and saw him laughing, trying (and failing) to stop. "What are you laughing at?" I asked him, arrogance laced in my tone.

In between laughs, Brave managed a response. "You're just so adorable, Wiz." I felt my face go red again and put the bouquet in front of my face again.

"I'm not adorable, dumbass!" I yelled at him. Brave continued laughing uncontrollably, and even fell onto the floor. I stared at him and facepalmed.

I can't believe I fell for such a moron.

I sighed at Brave's antics and walked over to the kitchen counter to set the bouquet down. I was about to grab a vase to put the flowers in, until I heard the door slam open. I turned to see who it was, and almost dropped the vase in shock.

Custard, dragging along a passed out and bleeding Chili. Custard dragged Chili into the house and collapsed almost immediately.

"Chili? Custard?" I exclaimed.
