The Return Of Dagon

Chapter 10

July 18, 2025, 9:30 AM.

Monarch HQ: Tallahassee, Florida.

Kayla was sitting outside a room. It's been 6 days since the Godzilla and Dagon conflict happened and to say things were bad would be an understatement. Russell was more stressed than he had been in his life. The Monarch's high command had their hands full with this situation, on top of having to deal with this situation Kayla, who was already nervous as it was had to tell everyone that a new titan had been spotted. Kayla was nervous, her heart was racing, and a knot was forming in her stomach. That was until a familiar voice heard.

Jessica: Hey Kayla.

Kayla looked up and saw Jessica, her superior looking at her. 

Kayla: Hi, Ms. Jessica.

Jessica: I thought I told you to stop with the "Ms." stuff.

Kayla: Sorry, ma'am. 

Jessica: It's ok sweetheart. Everyone's a bit on edge right now.

Kayla: Yeah...

Jessica sat down next to Kayla.

Jessica: So, are you reporting the new sighting today?

Kayla: Yes, ma'am.

Jessica: Can I see the report?

Kayla: Sure, thing ma'am.

Kayla handed the report she was holding to Jessica. Jessica began scanning through the report.

Jessica: Project NF? What's that?

Kayla: Project NF was a plan we recovered from the destroyed Apex base after MechaGodzilla attack. We suspect it was a part of a bigger plan by Apex to...

Jessica: To what?

Kayla: To destroy every titan on earth ma'am.

Jessica: And replace them with their own puppets...

Kayla: That's what we suspect ma'am. 

Jessica: Does this new titan Apex made have a name?

Kayla: As of now no.

Jessica continued to read through the report until somebody opened the door they were waiting outside of.

???: Come in.

Jessica looked at Kayla and handed the report back to her. Jessica and Kayla stood up and walked into the room.
