I had just gotten home from taking photos out in the woods. I was absolutely covered in cobwebs. Trying to brush them off did nothing. I walked down the hall to my room and took off the camera from around my neck, placing it onto the nightstand. I looked in the mirror, admiring all the cobwebs, wrapped around me. I chuckled a little bit and striped off my clothes, leaving only my under garments and walked to out of my room and to the laundry.
I walked in and placed my dirty clothes in the washing machine before putting the liquid in and pressing start. I walked off, shutting the door behind me and walked to the kitchen. I saw my kitten sitting on the bench, staring at me. I smiled and walked over to her.
Her name was Smokie and I had only gotten her about a month ago.
I grabbed her bowl, filling it with some cat food before placing the bowl in front of her. I went ahead and made myself a coffee as I had to be up late, editing and sending off my photos to some clients and posting them up on instagram.
I grabbed my mug and began walking to my room as I heard Smokie jump down and follow behind me. I walked in and walked to my closet, grabbing out a shirt. I put down my coffee on my bedside table and pulled my shirt over my head. I walked over to the bed, sitting down and grabbing my camera and laptop. I hooked up the camera to my laptop and waited for the images to load up.
I looked down to see Smokie sitting down on the floor, next to the bed. I smile at her and patted the bed, calling for her to jump up and she did so. I watched as she sat down beside me and slowly went to sleep. The photos loaded up and I began working on them.
After about an hour, I heard my phone start to ring and looked over to see it was my friend, Dave, calling me. I reached over and answered the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey, y/n, you said you were looking for a new place to take photos?" He said.
"Uh, yes, I am. Why? Did you find anything?" I say.
"Yeah, actually. There is this place, about an hour and a half away from you. It is a hard place to get into but the place is beautiful".
"Oh, well it's sounds great. Can you send me the directions, please?" I say getting a bit excited.
"Yep, I'll send them now. Talk to you soon" He said before hanging up the phone.
I waited about a minute before he sent me the directions. I looked at it and smiled a little. I haven't been able to find a place for a while. Most of the places are further away from me, but this one sounds good. I reached over, grabbing my coffee off the side table, taking the last sip. I put the mug back down and finished up the photos before sending them off.
I felt quite tired and thought I would just post up some photos on instagram tomorrow morning. I shut my laptop and unhooked the camera from it before putting it down on the side table. I got up quietly, trying not to disturb Smokie and walked out of my room and into the laundry.
I grabbed out my damp clothes from the washing machine then bending down and putting them into the dryer. I pressed start and walked out, going back to my room and getting into bed. I reached over, turning off the lamp and pulled the blankets over me and cuddled Smokie before drifting off to sleep.
