.Within the borders of the Nation of Solidarity, there seated on the throne on the right side was Rhysand. He had to remain in Ataraxia while Danafor went about every nation in Teyvat.
At first he was skeptical. He was rarely given the chance to govern his own nation considering Danafor was a very hands-on God, to add that he had the Anemo Archon alongside him.
Being alone in the Throne Room in his own thoughts caused him to be a little suffocated but he was driven in determination. His older brother, the Supreme God of Ataraxia, had given him this very opportunity to watch and govern over the Nation of Solidarity.
The nation they had built together the moment they took the Eighth Seat.
By all means, Rhysand was just a bit intimidated by the actual work that Danafor goes through in a daily basis. As the Archon of Night, he mostly served as the second-in-command of the Nation. It meant that he didn't have much heavy responsibilities and tasks to be done compared to Danafor yet the people of Ataraxia still adore him. He was the reason why the Ataraxian evenings were blissful, safe, and ethereal.
Evenings in Ataraxia were a sight to behold. The people who live outside the borders(from another nation) could only see plain evening skies but the people of Ataraxia had better views within the border. It was a scope full of beauty.
If Danafor was adored by his people for bringing the warmth of daylight and his ways of governing the nation, Rhysand was adored by his people for bringing a safe sanctuary in the night. Where all people were the most vulnerable.
"Uncle Rhysand?" a small voice interrupted Rhysand from his own thoughts, causing him to look at the direction from which the voice came from.
It was Chester, the second son of Danafor and Barbatos.
Rhysand's eyes softened slightly at the sight of the young boy, it seemed like Chester might have gotten a nightmare. "Yes, come in." he invited.
Thus the young boy entered the empty Throne Room. Chester fidgeted on his small nimble fingers before looking towards his father's brother.
"Where is Father?" he asked in a quiet yet polite voice. Chester had always been more of the soft-spoken child amongst his siblings. Something he had inherited directly from Danafor himself.
The Archon of Night couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as he rose from his seat in the throne and walked towards Chester, upon reaching the young boy he then picked him up gently in his arms. "Your Father has important business to tend to, young one."
Chester hummed in thought "He's been busy these days. I'm concerned since Dad(Venti) hasn't been feeling very much like his self ever since they talked." he commented with worry lacing his voice.
The thought alone made Rhysand sigh. He, along with the children were there when Danafor and Barbatos argued. It was still fresh on his mind, the thought of loosing his older brother drove him insane.
"It's a subject solely for your Father and Dad, Chester. You are far too young to meddle with the duties for this Nation." Rhysand added as he sent a reassuring smile to his nephew.
It had been decided some time ago that Azriel, the eldest son of the Lucian and Anemo Archon, was going to be in line of the throne for Ataraxia. It was a tradition implemented in their nation reserved for the family of the Lucian and Acronychal Archon.
(AN: The Formal Title for the Archon of Night is the Acronychal Archon. Acronychal means Occurring Nightfall.)
Considering that Rhysand has no plans of starting a family, the line for Ataraxia's throne will automatically be passed down to Danafor's family lineage. With Azriel being first in line to the throne and Chester being second then Theo for third. Although they will not be given the title of Archons.
Despite of being born with pure divine blood, the only thing that the children will not inherit from Danafor was the status of Archon. Mainly because if he dies, Rhysand is still there to govern as Ataraxia's Supreme Archon. The children's purpose was to rule over Ataraxia in assistance to the God who is left. In simple terms, Monarchy.
Although it was still a debatable subject of who exactly is to be in first line of the throne. Mainly because before Azriel, there was Aether. The first son of Danafor who strayed from the path of Solidarity to pursue redemption for a fallen nation. But after being exiled, the crown will automatically be passed to Azriel.
"Uncle, how does it feel being an Archon?" Chester rose his question. Rhysand looked at the boy in his arms with a raised eyebrow.
Rhysand smiled bitterly before answering. "It's load of work, young one. To be given the title of Archon is not as easy of a job that many think it would be. It comes with sacrifices that result to various consequences may it be good or bad." he explained as he walked towards one of the large windows in the Throne Room.
"From my experience as the Acronychal Archon, it's tough work. It is my duty to protect the people of Ataraxia during the night. It is the hour where everyone is asleep. Vulnerable and exposed to the dangers that can come." he added.
"Your Father and I worked so hard to build this nation the moment we took the eighth seat from The Eight Archons."
"But do you still feel guilty of the things you've done before, Uncle?" Chester asked, leaning his head against his uncle's shoulder, watching the beautiful night sky in front of him.
Rhysand chuckled right after. "Everyday, young man. It's something that I will forever carry in my shoulders. It's a huge sin that I made, and everyday I do my best to repent." he answered honestly.
"It still haunts me from this very day, Chester."
"The wounds I've inflicted in this Nation has yet to fully heal."
"As the Acronychal Archon of Ataraxia, I want to make up the things I've done."
"And I'll do it by protecting my people in the Night."
