April 1, XXXX

Kaede invited me to the zoo. I've always loved going to the zoo, watching the animals and feeding them, but somehow, when I'm with Kaede, it's more fun.

Kaede: Where do you want to go first?
Mika: The fox cage...

I've always wanted to see foxes; they're cute and fluffy. Kaede leads the way, and we finally find the cage for the foxes.

Mika: Look at them! Somehow they look like you...
Kaede: Is that a compliment?...
Mika: Maybe.

The foxes and Kaede look alike: cute and fluffy, nice and warm...

Kaede: There's also rabbits nearby.
Mika: Can we touch them?
Kaede: Let's go then.

Spending time with Kaede makes time fly by so fast; just one day seems to pass like a second. His smile warms my heart; whenever I'm scared, he's always right by my side.

Kaede: Don't scare them...
Mika: Look at them! So cute...

After walking around the zoo with Kaede, we went to a nearby fast-food restaurant to fill our empty stomachs.

Kaede: What do you want to eat?
Mika: Anything, you can choose.
Kaede: Come on, don't be shy. It's my treat.

After Kaede ordered some food for us, I started some small talk to pass the time.

Mika: This feels like a date, doesn't it?
Kaede: It does.

It's quite obvious that Kaede is trying to hide his red face; it looks cute on him... What is this feeling towards him?

Kaede: I'm going to the restroom for a bit.
Mika: Alright, don't take too long.

I watched Kaede go to the restroom as I took out my phone, chatting with Kei.

Mika: What are you doing right now?
Kei: Nothing, why do you ask?
Mika: Is it wrong to fall in love with someone after breaking up?
Kei: Oo~ seems like someone fell in love.
Mika: You're not answering my question, Kei...
Kei: Well, it's not, probably.

POV: KAEDE

I went to the restroom to clear my head; I couldn't stop looking at Mika. How she looks at the animals, how she smiles... If being cute is a crime, then she would definitely have to go to jail...

After emerging from the restroom, I could see Mika on her phone, seemingly texting someone.

Kaede: Texting someone?
Mika: Huh? Yeah, it's Kei.
Kaede: What did she say?
Mika: Nothing much...

As we continued our small talk, the food finally arrived. I went to get some spoons and forks as I stood up.

Kaede: Well, how's the food?
Mika: Why are you asking like you made it...
Kaede: Is it wrong to ask if my lady is enjoying her food?
Mika: Idiot...

Kaede smiled again; I could feel the blush creeping up my face. I couldn't help but mumble my answers.

Kaede: You're really cute when you're blushing.
Mika: Go finish your food...
Kaede: Aww, don't be shy. Come on, show your face.
Mika: You're just making it worse...

Kaede giggled as he poked my red cheeks; how he acts just makes him even more cute. I couldn't help but also laugh at his actions. Maybe it's not wrong to fall in love again?

Kaede: This feels like we're dating...
Mika: I can't deny that feeling.
Kaede: There's also an ice cream shop nearby; maybe you want one?
Mika: How can I say no to that offer now?
Kaede: Ice cream addict...

I can proudly say that this is the best day ever.
We walked around the park after the zoo, talking about funny moments and the past.
Hoping this feeling won't drift away, maybe if it's Kaede, I can love him...
But will our feelings be mutual?
