 12:30 MIDNIGHT

I was on my way home from the convenience store, I bought some stuff to fill my empty stomach. I know it's quite dangerous to walk alone in the middle of the night, especially as a girl, but that didn't stop me from going to the convenience store.

Mika: I bought too much snack, didn't I?

I was mumbling to myself when I was just a few blocks away. Someone grabbed my arm and pulled me into the alleyway.

Mika: Who's there?!
???: Feisty girl, aren't you?

I tried to gather my courage as I glared at the stranger in the dark. But at the same time, my mind went blank as I felt hopeless. I took a deep breath as I finally saw the stranger emerging from the darkness.

Haru: Relax now, little girl.
Mika: Stay away from me!

Morino Haru
-Second oldest of the Morino siblings
-Goes to Hanami Academy

Haru: Come on, no need to get scared. I'm only here to ask you a few questions.
Mika: Shut up. I'm not answering any of them!

I tried to run, but he grabbed my wrist. I tried to squirm away, but I couldn't. If I hadn't gone out in the middle of the night, if I stayed home as I always did... Maybe this didn't have to happen.

Haru: Now, now, don't squirm too much and answer my damn questions!

He shouted in my ear. If Kaede were here... Maybe he could've helped me. But it's no use. I'm alone with this guy.

Haru: Do you know my brother, Morino Koji?
Mika: How did you...?
Haru: He's my brother, of course. He talked about you so much too.
Mika: Please...
Haru: He cherished you so much that the breakup you asked for made him broken.
Mika: It's not my fault!
Haru: SHUT UP.

What did I do wrong? I tried to scream, but Haru covered my mouth. Everything started to get blurry, his voice echoing through my ears. "What's happening?" I thought. "Is this the end?"

Haru: I'll make sure to make my brother happy.

I don't want to go back to that hellish relationship. His smile and love are all fake. Nothing was happy with him; everything seemed like a nightmare when I was with Koji.

I couldn't keep my eyelids open any longer. They slowly closed as I could hear Haru's laugh. It was the same as Koji's laugh, only giving me fear and nightmares.

But not even an hour later, I heard footsteps. I don't know who it was, but it seemed like they caught Haru in the act. It still echoes, but it was safe to say that their voices were soft, giving me ease and safety.
