I wake up, the sun shining on my face, to a beautiful minimalistic room. Gee, I feel like I just woke up in a Disney movie or something. I shrug off my blanket and go to the bathroom to wash up. After I'm done getting ready, I head outside where I meet a staff that leads me to where we'll be having breakfast, which is by the seashore.

Everyone seems to be sitting and chatting with eachother. On the withe clothed table, there lay about thousands of fruit, their color blinding my eyes. The air is salty around me, the sound of the waves crashing and comforting my ears.

I find Minnie talking with Hans as I sit beside her. "Good morning." I greet. She seems surprised to see me.

"I had the best sleep last night. Ang laway nako bisag asa nang lagput." She stretches in her seat, satisfied.

I grimace. "I did not need to hear that early in the morning."

Nina stands and clangs her spoon to her wineglass and calls on some staff to serve us our breakfast. When I get my plate, I am greeted with hot bacon, eggs, sausages, dangit, some vegetables on the side, and some soft rice. Next, the waiter places down some coffee, its steam floating around the summer air.

We begin to eat, enjoying the food and the environment.

"There's my little brother. I thought you were in a coma." Nina deadpans when Kyan arrives. I knock on wood.

"Later, we will all go island hopping. This is going to be a blast, everyone!" Nina announces and we all cheer. However, I notice Kyan being down. It's obvious he just woke up too with his yawns and small stretches. He plays with his food and eats slowly. I wonder what's on his mind.

Minnie bumps my shoulder. "Stop staring." She scolds.

"What?" I whisper back. "I am not staring!"

"Staring at what?" Nosy Bob asks beside me. I wave him off.

The sun is bright as me and Minnie walk around the shoreline. Sand tickles our feet and the cold waves flow around our feet. She kicks the sand. "You know, Nina can seem really nice when she does nice things for us." She states.

I titter. "This resort is nice."

"Oop, wait. Gotta take a leak. Nature calls." Minnie runs away to the bathroom, leaving me. Not far away I notice a tiki bar. I can use a drink.

The green plants sway as the wind carries them. I meet with a large man with tattoos as the bartender and order a Coke. Meanwhile, I didn't notice when I came, that Janet is reading beside me on the wooden bar.

"Persuasion. I love that book." I smile. She looks up and smiles too.

"You read Jane Austen too?" She asks.

"Love her," I reply. Nearby, I can hear Nina talking with someone on the phone as she sits on the other side of the bar. I'm not even sure if she sees me and Janet.

"Oh, please. He's been slacking off. Still the same disappointment in our family." I hear her say as if she's sick of everything. I listen in.

She's talking to their father.

"Absolutely. You should be glad he isn't the CEO of any of your companies. For all I know, he'll just make them bankrupt."

She's talking about Kyan.

Corruption? Look who's talking.

"You think I should fire him?" Nina says.

I gasp quietly and almost drop my glass.
