"Then, Oh my god, THEN he just jumped out the window. Like bro WE GET IT" Kaminari yelled causing everyone in the bus to laugh.
Minus Katsuki of cause.
I was sitting next to Iida on the bus, the rhythmic hum of the engine and the gentle sway of the vehicle adding to my fatigue.
I had spent all night just thinking about how to get home, wondering if dad even knew I was missing. Now despite my attempts to stay alert, the combination of the comfortable seating and the soothing motion of the bus made it difficult to keep my eyes open.Iida, ever the diligent student, was reviewing his notes and preparing for the upcoming exams with focused determination. His studious demeanor was a stark contrast to the lively chatter of our classmates around us, their voices blending into a background buzz that threatened to lull me into sleep.
I fought against the drowsiness, trying to stay engaged in the conversation and the occasional laughter that erupted from the group. But with each passing minute, my eyelids grew heavier, the temptation to rest becoming harder to resist.
Iida glanced over, his concern evident as he noticed my struggle to stay awake. "Are you feeling alright?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine worry.
I managed a weak smile, nodding slightly. "Just a bit tired," I admitted, grateful for Iida's understanding.
As the bus continued its journey, I focused on staying awake, using small techniques like tapping my foot or taking deep breaths to fight off the sleepiness. It was a constant battle, but one I was determined to win, knowing that giving in to sleep now would only make me more groggy later.
"We are taking a bathroom break everyone one off and moving around" Aizawa ordered from his seat.
As everyone got up and left the bus, stretching out their limbs after the long journey, I remained seated, still struggling to stifle a yawn. The stiffness from sitting for so long combined with the persistent fatigue made it difficult to shake off the drowsiness that had settled in.
Iida, who had been focused on organizing his notes until the very last moment, glanced over at me with a sympathetic expression.
"It looks like you could use some rest," he remarked, his concern evident.I managed a nod, "Yeah, I think a little break might do me good," I replied, slowly getting up from my seat and stretching my arms above my head.
The fresh air outside the bus was invigorating, and I took a deep breath, trying to shake off the remaining traces of sleepiness. The activity around me as people dispersed and headed towards their next destinations helped to wake me up a bit more.
Iida stayed close, offering a supportive presence as we made our way off the bus. "Take it easy," he said with a reassuring smile.
I nodded once more before he moved off to his group leaving me walking at the back.
"Why didn't you just sleep on the bus?" a familiar blonde asked, walking up beside me as we made our way off the bus.
I glanced at Bakugo, surprised by his sudden appearance and question. "I'll just be even more tired later," I replied with a shrug, "and besides, I have trust issues."
Bakugo's expression turned skeptical, his usual brash demeanor coming to the forefront. "Trust issues?" he repeated, a hint of disbelief in his voice.
I nodded, feeling a bit defensive under his scrutiny. "Yeah, I find it hard to relax and sleep in public places," I admitted, trying to convey the seriousness of my struggle even though I was sugar coating it.
