"What is it I hear from the streets, Jason?" Mr. Tailor exclaimed at his son-in-law the next day in his mansion. "You cheated on your wife? I am so disappointed in you, my son."

"But Mr. Tailor, I did nothing wrong," Jason interrupted, but Mr. Tailor frowned.

"I held onto your promise and my father's. I married your daughter, but I love my girlfriend, and I'm not going to leave her. I've already made up my mind," Jason asserted.

"Fine," Mr. Tailor interrupted, lightening up. "My boy, I'm not happy with your decision, but I can't force you. Go ahead and marry her, but have it in mind that Chrissy is your legitimate wife."

"But Mr. Tailor..." Jason began, but Mr. Tailor cut him off. "Enough, Jason. If you have it in mind to divorce my daughter, it's not going to happen. Understood?" Mr. Tailor said firmly. "Yes, sir," Jason sadly responded.

"Good. Leave the wedding expenses to me. I'll take care of it," Mr. Tailor said as he tapped Jason's shoulder. "By the way, have you heard from your wife?" he suddenly questioned.

"No, sir. I can't find her," Jason added. "Don't worry. I will have my men look into the matter. I'm not sure if she left the country or I would have been informed. I will bring her home," Mr. Tailor assured.

"What about the press?" Jason asked. "The earlier we find her, the better for our family. I hate when my family's business is made public, and it's only Chrissy who wants to spoil all the reputation I have built," Mr. Tailor spat angrily. "Don't worry, sir," Jason responded. "I'm sure we will find her as soon as possible."

Mr. Tailor nodded. "Well, I will take my leave, Jason," he said as he left Jason's residence.

Jason gently brushed his hair with his two hands while deep in thought, pacing across the living room. "So you're not going to divorce her?" a voice suddenly questioned him.

Jason halted, turning to see June standing there, her eyes filled with tears. I overheard you and Chrissy's father, Jason. How could you?" she sobbed. "It's going to be alright, darling," Jason said, pulling her into a comforting hug.

"It's like he literally controls you," June said, breaking the hug, her voice filled with frustration. "He was just like my father," Jason explained, as June facepalmed herself in frustration.

"But let's continue with the wedding, baby," Jason continued, his tone soothing. "He's willing to sponsor, and I promise we will escape from all this. We will be happy," he comforted June, who nodded and hugged him tightly.

Chrissy was at the shopping mall with her best friend Uma, trying out maternity clothes and other items for Chrissy's unborn baby. Eight months had passed, and Chrissy's baby bump was already visible as she tirelessly walked around the stalls, examining the outfits. "I'm so hungry, Uma," Chrissy complained. "Hungry?" Uma reacted incredulously. "Dude, you just finished three huge sandwiches on our way here."

"I know, Uma, it's the parasite's fault," Chrissy responded jokingly, pointing to her belly. .... "Ahhh, fine," Uma sighed. "We need to hurry back before you faint on me," she added, giving Chrissy a playful nudge, which elicited laughter from Chrissy. "Anyways, don't you want to know the gender?" Uma suddenly questioned. "I mean, it would be easier for us to pick out suitable clothes."

"I don't care, Uma," Chrissy replied sternly. "This baby is a curse." "OMG, Chrissy! Don't say that," Uma exclaimed, coming closer. "This baby has done nothing wrong, and it's not your fault. "Chrissy sighed heavily. "I guess Dad is looking for me as we speak, and Tameka probably told him already," she responded.

"I want to leave this country," Uma stated, fear evident in her voice. "You won't go back, Chrissy," she assured her friend. "And there's nothing to worry about. You can run away anytime. I'll ask Alex to prepare the papers," Uma continued, gently hugging her friend, who suddenly burst into tears.
