My sister Aeri and Minjae kiss. I feel a tear fall on my cheek.

I'm finally going to congratulate them. <Congratulations Aeri.> She caresses my long hair. I give her a kiss on her cheek and then I move on to the groom. <Congratulations, treat my sister well.> I say chuckling and hugging him too.

Today my sister got married. Minjae took her away from me. On the one hand I'm happy because now they can finally live together and I don't have to suffer their love attacks on the sofa while I have breakfast. But on the other, I'm heartbroken.

Tonight is the last time I will hear my sister snore, go down an entire bottle of water, or just go into the bathroom. I will no longer hear her coming home from work or the gossip on the phone she has with her friends.

All I will hear now will be an unsettling silence at night, the only audible noise will be my slippers scraping on the ground.

The worst thing was when Aeri told me about this.

<So, Sohee. Since Minjae and I are getting married, we'll go live somewhere else. Without you.> I was left speechless. I hated that the only person in my family left was walking away from me.

<As you know though, Minjae can't afford to buy a new house, as she is paying for his parents' care.> I look at her in the eyes following the whole discussion. <So he and I will stay in the house where you and I live now, but you'll move. What do you think?>

<What should I think? It's okay for me.. if Minjae can't pay then I'll move house. Sure.> I said with a hint of melancholy.

<Thank you, Sohee. I have start to search your new house yet. You want to see?> Aeri pulled her phone out of her pocket and she showed me several houses. I already know that I would have taken the one that cost less, because in short, with my job as a 24/7 supermarket clerk I didn't earn who knows what amount.

Unfortunately the only house that I could have afforded was an hour and a half from the current one. So: I was already sad because I would no longer live with my sister, and what's more, the house I would get would be too far from her.

Me and the new newlyweds enter the house. They act like lovebirds laughing and joking with each other. <Who is the most beautiful woman in the world? Obviously you, my little wife.> Bleah. I make a disgusted face and lock myself in my room.

As soon as I enter, I see next to my bed the boxes that I have already prepared for tomorrow. Then I instinctively think of my parents. When I was little I played hide and seek with them, and I always hid in large boxes, like the Amazon ones. If only you were here... My hand opens the bag I still carry on my shoulder and I take out my wallet. From a pocket I take a photo of mum and dad. I hug it and throw myself on the bed. I sigh.

I start hearing strange sounds coming from Aeri and Minjae's room. I immediately understand what it is, so I hurry up and put on some overalls. I put on my shoes and leave the house.

Having escaped a traumatizing danger, I enter some strange street, paying attention to any man I meet and arrive in a small bar. The owner welcomes me. <Good evening, Sohee. How are you?> I give her a smile, isn't exactly happy. <I stopped by to say hello. I'm moving tomorrow.>

<What? Are you joking?> I would like to say yes, but I shake my head no. She accompanies me to seat at a small table of dark wood and after a while the lady returns with a cup of hot tea. She sits in front of me. <Darling, my dear, tell me. Why are you moving?>

This woman has always been an example for me. She grew up alone, but then got married and started a new life, simple but happy. Whenever I need her I come here to her bar and we start chatting. I tell her my worries and tell her what's happening at school.

After the last chat with the lady I return home and finally silence reigns.
