-Your POV- All the Kyoto students and staff along with our school's staff and students were in a room. Gojo explained a lot happened yesterday and some people even died. Gojo asked us all if we should continue the Kyoto exchange event.
"Hm...what kind of question is that?" Yuji asked out loud.
"Then yeah we should continue!" Todo said loud and proud.
Gojo asked what made Todo say that response.
"First off, mourners should be reserved for those who were close to the deceased. It's none of our concern. Second, if there were fatalities, what should be expected of us is to get stronger!"
Todo continued on, saying acquired strength is dictated by accumulation of results. Todo blabbered on about this as I tuned him out. I thought back to Megumi's and my conversation before I got out of the infirmary.
"Be careful if you get paired against Kamo. He is set on killing Yuji and you. I don't want to see you get hurt so give it your all and don't hold back."
I smiled at Megumi's words. He cared so much yet he couldn't figure out how to exactly express such feelings. We both knew we liked each other. But liking someone as a Jujutsu Sorcerer was dangerous. You never know when your moment together will be your last. That was the scary part. Anything could happen out on a mission. Especially if you were a half cursed spirit like myself who was wanted dead by all the higher ups. Gojo can't protect me forever and neither can Megumi.
I have to get stronger to protect Megumi and myself!
I came back to my senses as Megumi lightly tapped the back of my hand, staring down at me. I looked up and met his eyes while smiling some. He blushed but covered it up by placing his hand on his mouth as if he were coughing. I chuckled lightly at his reaction.
"Baseball?!" Yuji exclaimed as Principal Yaga came over and was enraged.
Principal Gakuganji asked what the meaning of this was as Principal Yaga was trying to explain he put individual fights against the Kyoto school but then turned to look at Gojo.
"Satoru get back here!" Principal Yaga shouted.
I chuckled while nudging Megumi's arm. Megumi cracked a small smile while looking down at me.
While walking back to my room, I heard Gojo call out my name.
I stopped while turning to face his tall figure.
"What is it Gojo sensei?" I asked politely.
"You can sit out of the game tomorrow if you want. I know you're still healing," Gojo explained.
I bit the inside of my cheek. I didn't want to tell Megumi my back still aches. I kept reassuring him I was okay. However, I still felt pain moving around with my back.
