-Your POV- Megumi was obviously jealous of the boys complimenting me but backed off once Megumi showed signs that indicated we were together. I blushed thinking what if we really confirmed we were together.
A faculty member came up to us, saying we shouldn't be on campus. Nobara shouted who the hell the man was while Yuji muttered it was obviously a faculty member. Nitta calmly explained we all had a permit. The man suggested we wear it around our necks. The man proceeded to look at Megumi in shock.
"Is that you Fushiguro?"
"Hello..." Megumi muttered.
Nitta asked if the man was a long-time worker here. Megumi explained the man's name was Takada, adding he was a part time worker at the school. Nitta gave us a thumbs up before saying she was gonna leave it up to us. Megumi scoffed at this, muttering that Nitta was abandoning her duties.
"Kanada, Shimada, Yamato, and now Morishita. I was shocked to hear they all died. But also, I can't believe it's already been 20 years since they graduated. It feels like it was just yesterday. They weren't as bad as you Fushiguro. But they were troublemakers," Takada rambled. "What do you need to know?"
I nudged Megumi at Takada's statement about the boys not being as bad as Megumi. Megumi glanced away embarrassed as he wouldn't look at me. Meanwhile, Nobara and Yuji were snickering at Megumi. I raised my hand.
"Any strange and dark rumours or connections with bad people?" I asked.
"It could be karma, getting what they had coming," Megumi muttered.
Takada said, "Dark rumours...troublemakers yes, but nothing out of the ordinary for junior high students. But as far as karma..."
"What about the Yasohachi Bridge bungee jumping?" one of the younger boys asked.
Nobara scoffed, "Idiots A and B, you're both still here?"
"Yasohachi Bridge," Yuji questioned.
Megumi sighed, "It's known for suicides. It's also a famous hot spot for paranormal activity."
Takada said that was right, that bungee jumping off the bridge in the middle of the night was popular among punks back then. He said it was kind of like a test of courage. Yuji being stupid muttered what kind of gang did that, adding there are more people stupid than him. Megumi bluntly asked what kind of cord the boys would use to bungee jump with.
The boys revealed it was the older generation before them that did the bungee jumping, not them. However, the boys said one day four students didn't show up to school one day. It was nothing strange but when the school called their parents, the news had spread like wildfire. It turned out those four guys didn't make it home that night. The boys were later found unconscious under the Yasohachi bridge. And of course, none of those four boys remembered anything about it.
