Chapter Seven - Evening The Odds

As Batman began making his way to where Superman and the XANA Controlled Amazo, the Lyoko Warriors began preparing for the attack on the army of XANA's Monsters guarding the Tower. It wasn't long before they lost all contact with Jeremy.

Odd: Amazo's coming to the Factory, we got an army of Monsters guarding the Tower and we're cut off from Einstein while he uploads a program to give us a hand. You know what? I think I like those odds.

Ulrich: Glad to know you're optimism hasn't died down.

Aelita: Those two glaciers next to the Tower should be able to thin out a good chunk of XANA's Monsters.

Odd: I don't think my Laser Arrows are gonna do much to those ice blocks.

Ulrich: But my swords can do the job. I just need to get in close....

Yumi: Don't worry about XANA's Monsters. We'll keep them off your back.

As Yumi says that, Ulrich activates his Triplicate powers to create two other Clones of himself. As soon as Ulrich and his Clones get out of sight, Odd begins firing his Laser Arrows at XANA's Monsters.

Odd: HEY! OVER HERE!

Immediately, XANA's Monsters began firing on Odd as well as Aelita and Yumi. Ulrich seized the opportunity to rush past the army of XANA's Monsters. Ulrich and his Clones then split up and make their way to the two glaciers. When they got into position, they each used their swords to cut through the glaciers. The two glaciers then fall on top of XANA's monsters, crushing a good chunk of XANA's Monsters. Aelita swooped in and fires an Energy Field which broke another ice structure, causing it to crash onto another group of XANA's Monsters. The path to the Tower was soon cleared.

Odd: Well that was easy. Let's...

Suddenly, the Lyoko Warriors were fired upon by a group of Tarantulas. The Lyoko Warriors took cover, but they each lost a few Life Points.

Ulrich: Looks like XANA's not giving up so easily!

Ulrich: Do you think you could make it to the Tower from here?

Aelita then surveys the distance between herself and the Tower. The area was too open and dangerous for Aelita to make a run for the Tower.

Aelita: It's no good. Those Monsters would be able to pick me off with ease.

Odd: Then we'll just distract those big bugs! That shouldn't be difficult!

Yumi: No Aelita's right! Those Monsters have the high ground on us!

As Yumi said this, the ground began to shake as the Kolossus appeared from the ice.

Odd: Oh you've got to be kidding me!

Ulrich: I hope that program Jeremy's working on is almost done! Cause things are looking pretty bad!

Suddenly, the sky began to pulse. The Lyoko Warriors looked up to the sky as a combined Superman/Batman symbol shined in the sky. As this happened, digital copies of Superman and Batman were virualized onto Lyoko.

Ulrich: Holy crap!

Odd: Oh that's awesome! First we got to fight with Batman and now we got Batman and Superman?! Man that's awesome!

It wasn't long before communications with Jeremy were restored.

Jeremy(Voice): Guys! Can you hear me?!

Aelita: We hear you Jeremy! The program downloaded just in time!

Odd: Batman really outdid himself this time! And just in time too!

As Odd says this, the Kolossus roared as it began charging at the Lyoko Warriors. The Virtual Superman flew through the air and landed a punch which knocked the Kolossus back several feet. The force of the punch sent a shockwave which was felt all across the Ice Sector. At the same time, the Virtual Batman glided towards the Tarantulas and began to fight them. The tide of the battle had been turned in favor of the Lyoko Warriors. Meanwhile, the XANA controlled Amazo continued flying towards the Factory with Superman doing everything in his power to hold him off. It wasn't long before Batman began flying the Batwing towards the XANA controlled Amazo and begins firing on him. The XANA controlled Amazo was tanks the bullets as it flies towards the Batwing. At the last possible second, Batman pulls the Batwing up, allowing Superman to land a punch on the XANA controlled Amazo.

Superman: Had enough, XANA?

XANA/Amazo: Do you really think your efforts will make any difference? You are doomed to fail.

Superman: Don't count on us out yet, XANA.

XANA/Amazo: Your words are as empty as your future, Kryptonian.

As the XANA controlled Amazo brushes off Superman's words, Batman swoops in on the Batwing and fired on the XANA controlled Amazo. The XANA controlled Amazo responds by flying towards the Batwing at blinding speed. XANA then unleashes Amazo's laser beams on the Batwing, destroying one of the Batwing's winds. Batman completely lost control of the Batwing as it was set to crash. Left with no other choice, Batman ejects out of the Batwing as it crashes onto the XANA controlled Amazo. As Batman glides through the air, Superman catches him.

Superman: Are you alright, Bruce?

Batman: I'll be fine.

Batman looks up to see the XANA controlled Amazo unfazed by the explosion. Without hesitation, Batman begins gliding towards Amazo while Superman chases after him. During the chase, Batman fires his grapnel gun and wraps around the XANA controlled Amazo's legs. With that, Superman and Batman were now locked in a deadly game of cat and mouse with the XANA controlled Amazo while attempting to delay XANA from getting to the Factory long enough for the Lyoko Warriors to deactivate the Tower.
