Yakuza Gaiden: the keeper's burden

Prologue: Like a yakuza

"Who are you?"

Majima wakes up, a bit agitated, scratching his eyes as the first thing. He knows that he was having a dream, or a nightmare, but doesn't remember anything, just his own voice asking that question.

"What the hell was I dreaming about..."-asks to himself and then stands up. He goes to the bathroom to prepare himself. Then he takes the snakeskin jacket from his bedroom and wears it.

So he leaves his appartment, that is also the office of the Majima family, and heads to the Tojo Clan HQ for a boring meeting.

He sits there in a discomposed way without listening to anything, snorting now and then. A meeting of just an hour feels to him like a torture and he can't wait to leave that place.

"Why am I in this damn place? All of this it's fuckin' boring like always"-he thinks with a tired and bored expression on his face, and then yawn.

Some people in the room are annoyed by his behaviour, but they can't say anything because he is one of the most important people of the organization.

When the meeting finally ends, he leaves the place as fast as he can and returns to Kamurocho. He decides to eat something for lunch at Matsuya in Tenkaichi Street. Then takes a walk in the town and stops at the batting center to play a little, trying to kill some time.

He takes another random walking, not knowing what to do more.

"This city is so mind-numbin' without Kiryu-chan... I miss good ol' times... I wish I could fight him..."-he says talking alone, his Kansai accent always there.

His only eye falls on a garbage can and an insane idea pops up in his mind.

He runs towards the bin and hides inside it, how he did some years before to surprise Kiryu and fight him. He waits there, a bit excited and nostalgic.

Meanwhile, a young girl is running as fast as she can, a bit scared and confused, colliding with some people in her way. She starts to think that the only way to escape that situation is to hide somewhere, in a place where no one will search for her. She sees a garbage can and has an idea.

Majima is still in the can but the expression on his face starts to change from excited to serious.

"Am I dumb?"-he asks to himself "Duh... It's just stupid to stay in a stinky can waitin' for who knows what... Kiryu-chan is not here"

So he decides to exit from there. But something unexpected happens.

Someone opens the bin before him.

Majima looks up.

"Eh?"

"Huh?!?"
