Chapter 7

Bucks POV

After seeing Eddies body fall to the floor I start to panic. Then after I see him grabbing Chimney and put a needle in his neck and inject something into him. Before I can reach Hen, Jonah already got to her. After he got everyone but me he started to walk away. "WHY DONT YOU JUST KILL ME NEXT!" I yell at him, choking through sobs. He turns to look at me. "Because you should watch your friends die and know it's your fault you couldn't save them. They have 10 minutes till their hearts stop working, no one will get here in time to save them Evan Buckley." Jonah says, he then walks away.

I fall on the floor sobbing, little did I know I accidentally clicked Athena's contact and she heard everything. After 3 minutes I can hear sirens. I see a car pull into the house and I see Bobby getting out running towards me. Still crying I run over to him and hug him, burying my face in his shoulder. "D-Dad..! I'm s-sorry!" At this point I didn't even know what came out of my mouth

I can feel him rubbing my back and I can hear him saying it's okay. But it doesn't feel okay, it doesn't look okay. I can hear people running to Chim, Hen and Eddie. I feel another person hugging me, then another, and another. I know one of them is Athena but I don't know about the other two. I can feel them let go of me and Bobby kneels down to look at me.

"Hey kid.. it's okay, nothing was your fault okay? Dad's here. Everything is okay, they'll be fine." Bobby said, he looked up and Athena. A few seconds later I can hear Mays voice, "hm.. I never thought I'd hear you call Bobby dad Buck, though I've seen it co-" before she could finish Athena shushed her and Maddie started talking. "Buck.. look, everyone is okay and you can go visit them later, but first you need rest."

'No. No I don't need rest! How come he didn't inject me with that drug next!' I thought. But I didn't say anything to them, I just nodded. "You can go to Bobby and Athena's place okay? Me and May are going to my place." Maddie said. "O-okay" I said. Soon after Maddie and May left.

Bobby's POV

When we got in the car I looked through the rearview mirror to check on him, he was already fast asleep. I was hoping that Athena could take the night off but she said she couldn't. A few minutes later we get to the house and I wake buck up. "Hey buck. Cmon, we're home." Buck wakes up looking around, he then gets out the car. "Hey Bobby.. thanks, I mean it. I also didn't mean to call you dad earlier.. that kinda slipped out.." He said. I smiled "nah, I don't mind it. I see you as a son of mine Buck. Feel free to call me dad." I pat his shoulder and walk him into the house, locking the door behind us.

"You can take Mays room since she's staying with your sister tonight." I say. "Yeah, okay.. thanks." Buck says, he lets off a small smile, before he can make it to the room he passes out. "Buck!?" I say running over to him checking his pulse, it's there. I start to worry and grab my phone to call Athena but I then hear Buck snoring.

I smile and pick him up, putting him in the bed. "Night Buck." I say before leaving the room, leaving the door open. I go to me and Athena's room and go to sleep. After a few hours I wake up to hear Buck yelling. I get up rushing to the room and I see him holding his head crying and rocking back and forth. "Hey, hey what happened?" I ask him. "B-bad dream" "well, what was it about kiddo?" "They all died." He said. "They all died because of me.. I didn't call in time and before Eddie died he said I failed at everything.. and I was never a good boyfriend. I-I did nothing right a-and-" I cut him off hugging him "it's okay.. it was a bad dream" I said. "Look, it's 7:30 in the morning, at 8 we can go see them okay?" Buck nods, "id like that."

Bucks POV

We got in the car and drove to the Hospital. When we got there Karen and Denny was already in the room with Hen and Maddie and Jee-yun were in the room with Chimney, so I had no choice but to see Eddie first. I was still thinking about that stupid nightmare. What if it comes true? What if I walk through that door and curses at me and tells me im a failure.. before I could think anymore I feel Bobby grab my shoulder
"Hey kid, I can feel you thinking about something, what's up?" He asked. "N-nothing dad.. I-i mean Bobby, just thinking about that stupid nightmare." I said "Buck.. you know it won't come true." "But what if it does?" There's a moment of silence before Bobby started to speak. "Go see Eddie.. please Buck." "Fine.." I say turning around walking to his room. When I walk into the room Eddie was staring at the wall.
Eddie looks over at me. "Buck..?" He said, I could barely hear him. "Yeah.. it's me" I said. "I feel terrible.." Eddie says. "Yeah I know hun. What can I do to make you feel better?" I ask him. "Hmm.. I kiss would make me feel better" he says. I smile leaning over to him giving him a kiss.

"How's Chris.?" Eddie asks. "He's fine, he's with Carla." Eddie holds out his hand and I hesitantly grab it. "Buck, I can feel that something's wrong.." Eddie says, he gently squeezes my hand. "It's nothing, really." I say, forcing a smile. "Buck.." I start to cry letting go of Eddies hand. "What's wrong?" "I-I didn't do anything when Jonah showed up and attacked you guys.." "Buck.. c'mon don't-" "No, I-I should have done something. You guys are in here because I just stood there watching."
