Nightmare

I ran as fast as I could, my lungs begged for air and my legs felt like they were gonna give out any second now. But I pushed through. Full of exhaust, I looked behind me and saw the fire still chasing after me.

The fire roared. It zipped past me, cutting me off and surrounded me in a small circle. I stopped in my tracks and inhaled deeply in hopes to stabilise my breathing, which failed.

Tears filled my eyes as I lost the ability to breathe. I put my hands on my chest and lightly beat on it, hoping air would fill my lung which, again, was futile.

The blue fire roared as it got higher and the thick smoke started to replace the air, choking me. I began to cough, suddenly, two figures emerged from the fire. It was my Mum and Dad; both of which died in that blue fire when I was 12.

"YOU KILLED US Y/N!" My mother screamed at me ferociously.

"WHY ARE YOU SO USELESS, WHY COULDN'T YOU COME HOME WHEN WE NEEDED YOU," my dad bellowed at me

"I-I was 12" I said trying to talk despite the smoke filling my lungs.

"I DID NOT BREAK MY BACK TO GIVE BIRTH TO A USELESS, STUPID GIRL. I'M DISGUSTED TO CALL YOU MY DAUGHTER!" my Mum screeched at me

That broke me...

I squeezed my eyes shut and curled up in a ball hoping the fire would just take me out.

I had enough of this. Their words hurt, it was like a dagger through my chest.

I know my parents would never say that to me they were kind hearted people who didnt deserve to die in that fire

I opened my eyes and now i was in the very place my parents died in.

my old house...

I saw blue fire shoot through like lightning i couldnt see where it came from but its hit my dad who was sitting on his favourite arm chair reading his daily newspaper with his reading glasses which were broken in the middle and supported by tape

While my dad was being set on fire he let out a blood curling scream...

"NO DAD!!"

i cried hoping he would hear me i tried to run to him but i was completely paralysed

My mum came bolting to the room my dad was in and she screamed at the sight of her husband on fire at this time the fire had already spread. first to his  broken glasses then his daily newspaper followed by his favourite navy blue armchair my mum was about to run away but then a large fire ball came for her

"MUM NO MUMMY TURN AROUND BEHIND YOU!!"

This time i was able to run and instead of my mum getting hit by the fire it was me..
