Fireworks

(Bakugo's Pov)

I took y/n's hand and led her away from the two boys. I dragged her through the crowd whilst keeping my eyes peeled making sure there was no sight of the 2 boys.

There was no way in hell they were gonna ruin this for me

Denki and Sero have ruined a lot of things for me in the past. They've ruined my clothes, my shoes, TV shows, movies, my phone Sero twice Denki 3 times. But the one thing I won't allow them to ruin is this date. I have never liked a girl before and this is my chance to Impress her

This is possibly one of the most important things I've done in my 17 years of living.

That bit of a stretch I'll be honest but it is important to me

What are those 2 idiots doing out here anyway? We aren't allowed out of the dorms past 9 pm. Yeah I was out as well, but I already made up a lie to get both me and y/n out of house arrest and I highly doubt tweedle dum and tweedle dumber could make up a lie even half as convincing as mine

"Katsuki where are we going?" y/n asked confused as to why I grabbed her hand so suddenly

"Um... it's a surprise?"

There was no surprise I was talking out of my ass. I just hoped I'd find a good fun game she'd like and I'd call that the surprise "There's been a lot of surprises I hope It's as good as all the other surprises you've given me"

"Wait a minute...is that kacchan?!"

The familiar voice of the blonde life-sized Pikachu echoed from not to far away

'Fuck'

"Y/n you like running?" I asked

"Not really no" she replied with

"Well you gonna have to manage this one"

"Wait what-" I didn't let y/n finish her sentence before I took her hand and started to run

"Bakugo why are we running?!" Y/n questioned as she jogged along "F-for the surprise" Again chatting out my ass let's hope to God, they'll be something special at the top of that hill I'm about to run up

I saw y/n struggle to keep up so I slowed down. I stopped running realising y/n was outta breath

"You okay...?" I asked softly

"Y-yeah just have...bad stamina," y/n said while putting her hands on her knees

I turn around only to find out we're halfway up the hill. I looked into the thick crowd of people the two boys were nowhere to be found. Should be fine to stop for a while

"Wanna take a break?"

"No" y/n called out still panthing.

"We can make it to the top It's not that far or at least it won't be if we run" Y/n continued on to say as she started to regain her breath

"You're saying this while still, tryna catch your breath from the last time we ran which wasn't even up to a minute ago," I say hoping she realises how dumb the thing she said was

"Yeah yeah well I was caught off guard. If I use my quirk to control the wind by cutting it off completely well only on myself I can probably be able to run again"

"Huh, what would cutting off the wind do?" I queried

"You can run faster with no wind resistance. Damn Katsuki thought you were smarter than that" Y/n says with a smirk

"Oh shut up," I say whilst jokingly rolling my eyes

"So, you like running?" y/n says mimicking what I said before.

I chuckle

"Hell Yeah I do"

Y/n's eyes start to glow white and I can see her preparing to run

"Try your best to keep up!!" she said before taking off

I grinned before running after her, damn she was fast. I saw her stop at the foot of the hill, I pushed myself to run faster so I could see her.

I finally made it and I saw Y/n sitting on a bench that just so happened to be at the top of the hill. Oddly convenient, but I wasn't complaining.

I sat down next to her.

Y/n rested her head on my shoulder and I put my arm around her. We sat in a comfortable silence as we just admired the view from the hill. We heard a loud bang from behind us, which made us jolt up in shock.

We sat up no longer close to each other but at an understandable distance.

Then I heard another bang this time from infront of us. I looked up and I saw y/n staring at the sky and her eyes were lighting up with excitement. I heard another bang and the sky burst into colours.

Red, blue, orange all the every colour imaginable.

That's when I realised the loud bangs that I'd been hearing.

'Were fireworks...'
