Angst (Very Short Chapter)

"Wait, I'm confused." Marco turned around. "Why are you showing us this, Miss Aaliana??"

Aaliana smiled. "Time will tell."

Robin, however, is not one to let the past be in the past and had already ciphered the meaning, smiling widely at the rest, who were just plain confused

"I don't get it." Luffy picked his nose. "Why was mom there??"

"Oh, my sweet Luffy, you'll understand soon enough." Aaliana grinned at him.

"Wait." Ace looked at Luffy. "Was my death really that traumatic that it appeared in the video??"

"Ace," Sabo walked up to him with a too-calm-to-be-real voice. "YOU FUCKING IDIOT!!" He bonked his head. "OF COURSE IT WAS!! TO LUFFY, IT WAS LIKE LOSING HIS LAST BROTHER!! AND HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE SURVIVOR'S GUILT?!!"

Luffy, at this point, was looking at the ground. The straw hats seemed to notice the uncomfortable energy around him and chopper decided to hug him until the straw hats were done with beating the shit outta them both for reminding Luffy of the 'incident'.

"WAHHHHH!! LUFFY!!" Chopper held onto him like a leech.

"Now, any last words?" Nami fake-smiled at them, making them both pale, preparing for the worst.

"We're- sorry?" Sabo said it in more of a question-than-statement manner, and Nami cracked her knuckles.

"Oookayyyyy..." Aaliana sweatdropped as two of the three ASL brothers ran for their lives, a murderous Nami behind them, readying a fist of love. "Let's move on!!" 

"SAVE ME, KOALA!!" Sabo ducked behind Dragon, throwing Nami off. She shrugged and went back to her seat, completely ignoring Ace (middle child syndrome sucks, doesn't it?). However, Ace couldn't be any more glad to have his life sentence extended (in the parallel universe, at least).

"Woah, Luffy looks kinda... scary..?" Ussop shrunk into his chair, away from the screen. Chopper and Brook followed suite, hugging each other in fear of their captain. Luffy hadn't noticed this yet, so he just stared at the screen.

"He looks.. broken.." Shanks muttered just loud enough for most of the people to hear him and nod in redemption.

"No, I'm not broken, it's just-" Luffy couldn't find the words to describe the scene. Ace and Sabo just stared into the distance.

"Gear five," Zoro called out, gaining the attention of the audience.  "Or was that gear four??"

"I mean, it looks like gear four, but I think it's just gear five if Luffy were-wasn't-you know- so pure or, or- bright," Robin shook her head, deep in thought. Ace and Sabo couldn't care less about 'theories'.

"ARE YOU OKAY, LU?!"

"WHAT THE HEL-HECK HAPPENED TO YOU?!"

"SHISHISHI! I'm okay, guys," Luffy fake smiled at them. "Remember? This was me when you freed me from Porchemy and I killed-" he stopped there, realising he's said too much. Everyone ( except some marines) were staring at Luffy concerned. Luffy- killed? That doesn't sound like the person they know!!

"Ahhh," Sabo recalled. "When you were captured by those celestial dragons, right?"

"Y-yeah," Luffy bit his lip. He quickly recovered, smiling brightly at them all. "But it's okay! Killing is okay!! Right, Robin!!" He looked at her, and Robin smiled at him.

"Yes, when it is necessary," Robin smiled close-eyed at his direction.

"See? I'm okay, guys, so stop worrying!!" Luffy laughed, melting away everyone's worries. 

"Uh, Vice Admiral, I think now would be a good time to capture-" Coby was once again ignored over Garp crunching on his crackers loudly next to a very sick-of-this-shit Sengoku, who was face-palming at the chaotic mess in the theatre.

"Dark Luffy isn't good," Chopper exclaimed cutely.

"Yeah, I agree, raccoon dog," Vista said.

"And that's the thing about darkness," Luffy looked up at them all. "No matter how far you stay from light, you can always come back."

There was a respective silence in the room that was broken by none other than Ace. "When did you get that deep, Lu??"

"Wait... if he's deep, does that mean-" Sabo rubbed his chin, and widened his eyes at the thought.

"-he's smarter than us?!" Ace finished, equally as appalled. They gasped collectively and looked back at Luffy.

"WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DID YOU DO WITH LUFFY??!" Sabo grabbed Luffy's shoulders and shook him back and forth.

"THERE'S AN IMPOSTER AMONG US!!" Ace shrieked and pressed the big, red button in the middle of the room. Suddenly, everyone was teleported into a giant spaceship as Aaliana began munching on some popcorn. 

"Let the games begin," she rubbed her hands together, smirking evilly. "We'll see how this plays out."
