~*Liam's POV*~
As she went up the stairs, I went into the kitchen, where my mother was at work. "Mum? Why didn't you tell me?" I lean against the island, cutting right to it. "You never told me we had an exchange student?!" I shook my head. "Well," she said pausing for a moment, "Liam, sweetie, I honestly did try and tell you but you were always in such a hurry. Plus, it skipped my mind, half the time." She added. I glanced down. I looked at the marble top, trying to think. How can you forget that a girl from the U.S. was coming to live here for over 9 months? What did I think of this? Honestly, it wasn't my decision, but I don't want the poor girl's stay here a living hell.
"Are you alright with this?" Mum looked at me worryingly. "Alright with what?" I furrowed my brow. "With her staying here, Li. I know I can't just throw her out, but she's really sweet and nice." Mum paused. "Please? This is great exposure for her." She finished, putting a hand over mine. I don't even know why I had a problem, but I wish I had known earlier. There are things that I just have to live with and I don't even know them until the last minute. "I'll give it a chance, mum." I grumbled and walked out to the rest of the boys.
"Everything alright?" Harry asked me as I sat down next to Danielle. "I don't know. I wish mum had told me earlier. I would have been prepared." I rubbed my eyes, leaning back. "Well, we can't judge now can we?" Zayn said cocking an eyebrow. "I guess not." I huffed. But seriously, why did I have a problem with this? "Let's just ease our minds for now." Eleanor said, from next to Louis. "Sounds fine with me!" Lou said, kissing her forehead. I laughed. Maybe she won't be bad. Maybe....just maybe....She'll be like a little sister to me.
~*My POV*~
When I found my room, my jaw dropped. A small room, with a small bed by the wall, a window, a desk, a closet. Just perfect. It was absolutely perfect. Small and sweet. There was a little tack board, right next to the bed, with little lights coming down around it and around the headboard of the bed. There were another set of lights going from the window to the top of the closet. They weren't turned on, but I still looked in awe.
Snapping out of my trance, I looked at my suitcases. Setting them each down, I kneel and opened them, slowly looking for PJ's. When I found a good pair, I hunted for the bathroom. Looking through rooms, storage rooms, I finally found the bathroom. It was right next to Liam's room, or what I hope to be his room. Setting down my clothes, towels, and toothbrush on the counter, I brushed my teeth thoroughly. Deciding it would be better if I took a shower, I turned on the steaming water. With my glasses off, it was really hard to see. I found some shampoo and ran it through my hair. Feeling every bit of anxiety falling through the drain, as warm water droplets cascaded down from the shower head.
I had felt better than I did looking back from the last few days. I felt more relaxed. I felt like this would be a great year. And let's pray for it to be. Turning the water off, I slid out of the shower, taking a towel and wiping my body. Putting my clothes on, I put my hair in a towel and shoved my glasses on. Slowly unlocking the door, I slid out of the bathroom and into my room. I went straight to my bed. Sitting down, the softness of it just made it more inviting and more comfortable, making me want to just sleep right on the spot. But unfortunately, my rest would have to wait. I took my hair out of the towel, grabbed my brush and brushed through it a couple times. I let my wet, waist-length hair fall.
My stomach had decided to grumble quite loudly. Sighing, I went to open the door. I paused at the frame of the door. Turning back, I look at the lights around the bed and window. My feet quietly padded around on the carpeted floor. I leaned down to turn on the switch and as I did, the lights turned on, almost like magic. I looked around the room, in awe, how the lights had tied with the floral bed sheets and the white headboard. I smiled, leaving my room and down the second flight of steps I found, that lead to the kitchen.
