character's name is Madison, Maddie for short, as requested!

Madison, also known as Maddie, Y/l/n, girlfriend of Alex Walter, also known as a nerd, geek, etc. Currently walked the halls of her high school. She had been walking to her Algebra class alongside her boyfriend.

Maddie had always been bad at Algebra which why she asked her boyfriend to help her study, but with him around, she was always pretty distracted, so the studying wasn't really studying, it was 'study' dates.

But there were more dates than there was studying.

No matter how many times they tried to get back on topic, Maddie kind of forgot, and when she studied alone, she got some of it down and glued into her brain, which helped a little.

So, she hoped that she did well on her Algebra test.

Maddie sat in her Algebra class next to her boyfriend as her teacher passed everyone their test's. She prayed that she got a good grade as she waited to receive her test.

Maddie looked towards Alex who sent her a smile.

She took a deep breath as her teacher stood in front of her giving her a disappointed sigh before placing the paper on her desk.

Maddie looked down to see an F- which most likely brought her B+ to a F-. This test was thirty percent of her grade and she had failed. She frantically flipped through the test to see that she hadn't even gotten one question right.

She sighed in disappointment and fear, she knew her parents would give her a horrible lecture about school and her future, and she'd be grounded, again.

Alex curiously watched Madison as she flipped through, she banged her head on the desk causing her to get some looks. She awkwardly looked up at her classmates, quickly fixing her hair before passing her test to her boyfriend.

"You'll do better next time," he whispered with a reassuring smile. She gave him a tight-lipped smile before giving her undivided attention to her teacher.

But not literally, that was sarcasm, she spent the rest of her class thinking about her punishment.

Maddie walked the halls of her school alongside her boyfriend as she tightly gripped her backpack. "They're gonna be so pissed, Alex! I'm gonna be grounded forever!" she exclaimed as looked down at her test.

"It's okay," Alex reassured her, "Not it's not!" Maddie exclaimed pissed off by how he didn't understand having strict parents. "You wouldn't get it. your parents are nice." Maddie sighed, "Exactly... so maybe they could talk to your parents?"

"No, that wouldn't work, it would just make them more pissed off." Maddie explained with a sigh before walking off to her car.

She drove home listening to her favorite songs to try and help cheer her up, but it didn't work. She knew her parents would be pissed, and they were.

When she got home, they gave her a huge lecture and told her that if she didn't get a better grade next time, she'd never get her phone back. They also grounded her for three weeks.

The next day, Maddie went to find Alex, she didn't have her phone so she couldn't contact him, but when she found him, she explained everything, before he could even say anything the two rushed off to their classes before they were late.
