Fighting Destiny

Chapter 1 - Tragedy

Akshara called the police and was stressfully waiting for them to come and help Niel save the girls. She watched from the car the horror in front of her with wide eyes. She anxiously  hugged her belly in a reflex to protect her angels.

Niel is fighting for the girls. He is doing his best, but he is outnumbered.

He needs help !

She needs to do something or something bad will happen to him.

She feels it...

Without a second thought, she got out of the car and took a bat that one of the criminals threw out and went straight to hit the head of the man who was punching Neil. The man falls to the side and Neil gets free from his punches. Akshara and Neil made eye contact. Akshara was relieved that Niel was safe and sound and Niel looked back at her with worry, clearly panicking at the idea of her being at the heart of the danger. Before Akshara could take a step toward Neil two men came from behind her with a broken glass bottle in their hands. Neil was weak but still sensed the danger coming.

However, he was too late...

Before he could reach out to Akshra, she was already on the floor with blood pouring out of her head. Even the Police car's alarm couldn't hide Neil's scream.

The criminals started running as soon as they heard the police cars coming from afar...

Abhimanyu is finally back from his business trip. He actually made it a day earlier, wanting to surprise his wife with a romantic dinner tonight. It felt like the longest trip of his life. His mind and heart were all the time with his Akshu. He was worried about every single little detail : Was she careful using the stairs ? Is she respecting her diet as he and the doctor told her to ? Did she sleep peacefully ? and some more questions which hunted his mind. He couldn't wait to have her back in his arms !

But first he has to go to the hospital for some formalities that should not take more than one hour. He speeds up, driving there so he can finish quickly. He was humming happily walking to his office and greeting everyone on the way.

As soon as he reached his office he started feeling a deep pain in his chest, as if someone was removing his heart from his chest. The pain was so raw that he fell to the floor.

What was happening to him ?

He was sure that he was healthy and with no heart issues. He made sure of it by eating healthy and going to the gym.

So why ?

Rohan, always with his good timing, enters Abhimanyu's office.

" Sir ??"

He quickly went to Abhimanyu's side, checking on him. Rohan helped him get up.

" Are you okay sir ? "

" Yes, better."

" We should take further exams for your condition"

" I'm sure it's nothing don-"

Abhimanyu couldn't finish his sentence because at the same moment an ambulance arrived at the Birla hospital.

The first person who was laying on the ambulance bed was someone who

He froze. He immediately recognized the first person who got out of the ambulance.

It was none other than his brother Niel.
