04 | quite the slow start.

wendy browsed the library that was located on the first floor of the palace. she was trying to figure out any ways in which doyoung could've been attacked on that day. how did the killer get in his villa ? doyoung was supposed to have at least a guard, but there was no one near the unlocked and slightly destroyed villa.

she sat at the long table, looking around the paintings of the room. back in the day, the library was the room where doyoung and wendy were playing around. they loved to go behind the crimson curtains, slowly try and climb the bookshelves until their father would find and scold them.

after a few minutes of remembering the sweet moments she had with doyoung, yeri disturbed wendy. she walked into the room, doing a small twirl infront of yeri. she let out a small laugh, as wendy figured out that she was trying to make her sister smile.

" wendy, father has an announcement for me today, so i am trying to cheer up the current mood. it is obvious that the announcement father has is not going to be the best one, since the man has no nice things to say. " yeri explained to wendy, who kept nodding.

" it is quite weird how he is requesting for you. usually, you are ignored by him. " wendy said, as yeri took a seat next to her. " we shall forget about that now, it's time for us to focus on doyoung and what had went down in his final moments. " she had a hard time saying the last words, before she took out a small paper. " this is the letter that was found next to his body. "

" do we know who he wanted to send this to ? i am guessing it was meant for his lover. i have no idea who doyoung could have seen, he was always so closed off and quiet. " yeri let out a small sigh, as she took the letter in her hands. " honestly, i wish he had a lover. i wish he felt some happiness before dying. " she put the letter down, as a small tear escaped her eye.

" we will figure out somehow. i also believe that this letter is real, but i am not sure if it can also count as a suicide note. " wendy tried sounding as believable as possible, but yeri seemed to be confused. " i am expecting my blazer that i have given to your sister. " sicheng spoke, as wendy didn't know what answer to give him. he wasn't the nicest man. " please go and tell her that i am waiting for it, i can not pack my bag without it. " he said, before turning around, going back into his room.

to wendy, dong sicheng was the main suspect in the case she was still pretty skeptical of investigating. his reactions to doyoung's death, him being way too calm during the funeral and rude to his own friend made him a murderer in wendy's eyes. however, he was as clean as one could be.
