" it have barely been two weeks since prince jaehyun and the baron's sons have been to ceham, and they are already coming back to discuss their titles for the kingdom ? " wendy asked, as seulgi brought the two women warms cups of tea. she smiled towards them, leaving them on the table next to the couch placed in yeri's bedroom. " i do not understand such thinking. "

" it is very strange, but i do really like their presence. it makes me forget about the fact that we are quite literally alone in this castle. from what i have heard, mother and father are leaving for rugraine, to continue their campaign for the new rugrainian government .. a lot of complicated things. " yeri let out a sigh, as the two started drinking their teas.

" i am guessing you enjoy the presence of one certain baron, if i am not mistaken. " wendy let out a laugh, as yeri's cheeks quickly turned red. she hid them with her palms, as wendy tried to remove them. " come on, sister, admit that you like baron sicheng, or at least enjoy his presence and like spending time with him. " she continued to laugh, as yeri shaked her head.

" sister ! " yeri raised her voice, " i am not in love with baron sicheng, he is a good friend that is quite similar to a person i would enjoy talking to. i did not really expect him to be such a calm and nice man, a reserved one too. " she started smiling, as wendy hit her sister's shoulder. both started laughing, as wendy cleared her throat.

wendy was still scared of telling yeri that sicheng was a suspect of doyoung's murder. she wished to be wrong and now really hoped sicheng was just misunderstood, and his strange actions were plainly how he usually acted. however, wendy could not think of someone else that was as strange around doyoung as sicheng used to be.

" i talked to him about brother. " yeri told wendy, who's eyes slowly widened. " he told me that he had noticed a strange hooded figure in the tent as well, but chose to remain quiet. i was very sad about that information, since i chose to laugh off the presence of this figure, who is clearly the person that murdered our brother. " she let out a sigh.

" that hooded figure truly haunts my memories. it is impossible that a person has gotten away with so much, so much stalking and scaring brother, and reaching a point in where they actually managed to murder him. " wendy looked out the window, as yeri agreed with her sister. " it is very strange, because we can never be able to tell who that person is. "

" we will figur out a way. " yeri replied, as she finished her tea. wendy continued to look out the window, thinking about doyoung and what he would have done in the situation they were put in. " brother would have found a solution in a few seconds. he would think about the past and what people in his history books were going to do about it. " she started laughing, as wendy nodded.

" sometimes, when i sit in this library, i see doyoung browsing the books. " wendy said, as she could feel a small tear dropping from her eye. " i see him running to me and explaining to me what .. a king from the beginnings of the kingdom did when a strange rival came to him and started planning a battle .. " she said, taking a tissue from the table. " he was always excited about small things. "

yeri slowly widened her eyes. wendy would never refer to their brother as simply doyoung, because he happend to be the oldest sibling. she had been aware of how close her older siblings where, but never expected to hear wendy talk in such a comfortable manner of doyoung, a man three years older than her.

she chose to brush it off, smiling towards her sister and calming down her sudden tears. she pulled her into a hug, as seulgi returned into the library. she remained quiet, placing a tray of cakes infront of wendy and yeri. yeri thanked her, as seulgi quickly left the room once again.

" i also sometimes picture brother wandering around the hallways of this hell of a castle. " yeri let out a laugh, taking a cake from the tray. " he sometimes waves towards me, smiles at me or simply runs away. when i point it out to the maids, they choose to laugh and tell me i have gone insane. " she shaked her head, " they would never understand our pain. "

" i still can not get over his death. why was he taken away from me ? " wendy said, as another tear dropped from her cheek. yeri's eyes were now widened, as wendy looked up. " oh, i am terribly sorry, i was supposed to say that he was taken away so early from the world. it feels weird to speak only for myself. " wendy tried laughing it off, as yeri simply nodded.

" i know that you and brother were extremely close. you were clearly the most affected by his sudden death, so i understand your affection towards him and wanting to refer to yourself as the only one missing him. " yeri put her hand on wendy's shoulder, as wendy nodded. " i would hear people laugh around and call you two a couple. " it was her turn to laugh, hoping for wendy to understand her joke.

" oh, i would get called the next queen consort by all of father's strange friends. they were always following me and doyoung around, trying to find out anything about the two of us. obviously, nothing was taking place and they went back disappointed. " wendy scoffed, as yeri raised her eyebrow. " people choose to be weird when siblings enjoy spend time with eachother. "

wendy and yeri decided to remain in silence for the rest of their stay in the library. they could not speak to eachother, not knowing what to say other than their feelings towards doyoung and what doyoung would do in any situations they were. at that point in their lives, everything they talked about lead to discussions regarding doyoung.

afterall, everything was about doyoung to them. it was about him and his lovely presence while he was alive, and how life would have been better if he was there with them. if doyoung was still able to bring bright smiles on their faces.

seulgi stood infront of the palace. it was time for jaehyun to come from the train station, and they had promised eachother to visit the whole city when jaehyun was free. she walked around, not patient enough to simply sit and wait for jaehyun to come.

suddently, a carriage stopped infront of the palace. seulgi smiled, running towards the carriage. she opened the door quickly, seeing that jaehyun was holding a small flower in his hand. he got out of the carriage, as seulgi closed the door. the carriage left, as jaehyun handed the flower to seulgi.

" oh, how long has it been since we were able to see eachother, my love. " jaehyun placed a kiss on seulgi's cheek, as she started laughing. they held eachother's hand, ignoring the possibility of anyone else seeing them. " how has it been, dear seulgi ? how has been your life in this palace ? " he asked, as seulgi let out a sigh.

" quite boring. since his highness has passed away, i have been doing nothing but washing dishes and serving food. it is getting monotone without something more fun, like hearing his highness talk about books or history. " she explained to jaehyun, before a bright smile appeard on her face. " however, this life has suddently turned into the brightest one the moment you stepped out of that carriage. " she let out a laugh.

" oh, seulgi, you never fail to make me happy. "
