-Sanity-Insanity-

He spun; his arms stretched wide.
"We're all stardust twirling through space! Clinging to sanity by a mere thread!"
His eyes widened as he stopped, his empty smile disappeared, changing to a vacant look.

"But when that thread breaks-" he whispered as he twisted a thread out of his clothing.
He pulled the thread, his robes unravelling as he ripped the fabric.
"-we fall apart."

His smile held a hollow silence as he fell to the ground,
his hollow laughter echoed through the air as tears flowed down his face.
"We're all breaking!"

"And this thread-"
Once again, he gripped at the torn thread.
"-is a reminder, that all it takes... is a pull. They pull us to our breaking point! They pull us out of sanity and lead us to insanity!"

"Slipping. Slipping. Slipping into oblivion! Ah, the temptation!"
He threw his arms up. His eyes held a desperate plea.
"Longing for something more than this, I've whispered out my longing. But no more! Now I will shout it to the universe!"

"Oh, how bittersweet it is!"
"Oh, Sanity, Insanity! Falling into insanity!"
"Breaking! Breaking! Breaking!" His dead laughter echoed as he gave in to the pull.
