Chapter 10

After roaming around they found themselves staring at a huge ice cream parlour. Both of them walked inside.

Fourth had never seen so many flavours, It felt like choosing a flavour was a life-or-death decision. Gemini decided to go for 'Cookie and Cream' while Fourth chose 'Strawberry'

 Both of them sat at the table facing the glass wall, allowing them to enjoy the city's bustling.

"Hah! So refreshing in this scorching heat" Fourth stuffed another spoon of ice cream as he spoke.

Gemini nodded.

At this point, Fourth had gotten used to Gemini's non-expressive behaviour.

"Isn't that Prim?" Fourth pointed at the bakery which was opposite to the ice cream parlour

"Hmm"

"She is with some guy" Fourth said trying to read the expressions off Gemini's face.

What must Gemini feel after knowing his Girlfriend could be cheating on him?

"So what?"

"What do you mean don't you care if your girlfriend is with some other guy?" Fourth leaned in to suppress his voice.

"What girlfriend? We aren't dating"

"What?" Fourth stood from his chair reflexively like when he learned about them dating. "But how? when? I thought...." Fourth continued after a little pause.

"You thought?" Gemini asked raising his eyebrows.

"I thought you were still dating"

"We broke up like a week ago"

"But then why were you acting so clingy in the class day before yesterday?" Fourth questioned as he sat back down.

"Well, we realised we were never in love, it was just a misunderstanding. We are just friends" Fourth stuffed his mouth yet again while Gemini explained himself.

No lie that Fourth was surprised, For the last week Fourth was stressed for nothing, and he was also surprised that Prom didn't tell him this. He was sure that Love must have told this to Prom. But the thing that changed today was the way, Gemini was behaving.

That was rare for someone to break up in only like 3-4 weeks, well at least things won't be awkward in class and during our once-in-the-moon meetings for the project.

"So you are single?"

"Yea, why do you ask?"

"Nothing just confirming"

The ice cream lasted for 10 minutes, but Gemini had some left Fourth got up and went straight to pay for the ice cream and came back with a key chain in his hand.

"Look they gave me a free key chain as it was our first time here" Fourth pulled the key chain and showed it to Gemini.

It was a cute elephant, painted in grey with pink ears from the inside, like a cute cartoon elephant.

"Cute" Gemini said as he touched the elephant which was still resting on Fourth's hand.

"I know right, do you want it?"

"Are you sure??" Gemini asked looking at Fourth with pleasing eyes as if asking for it right now.

Fourth knew that every time they both met Fourth would find something new about Gemini, He likes cute things.

Fourth slowly pulled Gemini's hand and placed the baby elephant key chain on them.

"Take good care of it" Fourth let go of Gemini's hand and started to head towards the gate to exit the place.
