Humble Beginnings: 2002-2003

2002

HI. 

My name is Joshua Juvonny Grayson. 

But you call me Juvonny or Double J. 

I'm 7 years old because I was born on August 3rd, 1995. I've lived in California since I was five years old, with my mommy and my big sister, Diamond. She is 14 years old and she goes to Wilson high school.

She has friends named: Tommy pickles. Angelica C. Pickles, that's Tommy's cousin, Chuckie Finster, Kimi Finster, that's his half sister, Dill Pickles, Phil Denville, and Lil Denville. Octavia was also friends with Naruto and Sasuke and Sakura and Hinata. Weird how they share the same names from the naruto manga that was in the Shonen Jump weekly.

Anyways, Long Beach California is and has been pretty cool. There have been ups and downs and friends and enemies, but overall, I love it here. The weather is cool and it's where my mommy's dreams are. She's a singer part time, and a clerk typist part time. And mommy full time. Dunno how she does it, but she's a super mom. The best mom in the world.

Now, I have friends that are my age, a year older than me, and three years older than me. Pyrrha Nikos is my age and she's my best friend in the whole wide world. She goes to Bryant Elementary school with me, and she sits with me and talks with me and we get in trouble a lot too. The power puff girls, Blossom Bubbles and Buttercup, they're in a grade higher than me and Pyrrha. They're superheroes. Savers of the day, and defenders against the forces of evil.

And then there's my brother and best friend, Son Gohan. Gohan was three years older than me. He's in the fifth grade and was a transfer student from Mount paozu. Whatever that is. Now, Gohan and his family still lived at Mount paozu, which was weird because Mount paozu was in Japan and that meant that Gohan had to travel a few thousand miles to get to where school is.

So how does he do it? Travelling was not cheap. Was he rich? I thought so when we first met. But one day, I had to get a blood transfusion, so I was in the hospital. I was six at the time, and my mommy was praying for me, my big sister too.

Gohan's dad agreed to do the blood transfusion so I could live. Funny though, he thought it didn't deal with needles. But it did. And boy was he the biggest baby anyone has ever seen! I'm still laughing about it! [Snickers turns into laughter] Anyways, with the blood transfusion I was brought back to normal, and I was a bouncy and healthy boy again. Never needing another transfusion.

That kinda was short lived, because I found out that I had gained super speed, super strength, and I could fly. The weirdest thing? Had a tail? A wiggling monkey tail, Like Zaboo from Zoboomafuu. That's my favorite show along with dragon's tale, sesame street, time force, ed edd and eddy, and a few others. It was found out that Gohan's dad was an alien. Literally. Superman vibes anyone? He came from a distant planet. Gohan told me and made me promise to keep it a secret. I did, but I told my mommy and my big sister.

So my mommy had my tail cut off. It was painful but hey, I couldn't have a tail while going to school. It would have drawn some unwanted attention and we didn't want that. Pyrrha was worried about me but I told her that Juvonny was new and improved...Literally.

Everyday at school I had to learn how to harness my new abilities. Which was hard to do because I was, you know, the emotional type. I would cry when people treat me mean or didn't wanna become friends with me. It was okay but it hurt. And hurt more when Andrew's grandmother didn't want Andrew and I to become friends. Even though I was Spanish just like Andrew. Hispanic. Is there really a difference? And the keyword WAS, because now I was a freaking half alien! Like just when my life could NOT get any crazier!

By the time summer came around, Gohan was helping me when he could with my new powers. Controlling KI and so on. By this time, around August 3rd, I was seven years old. And this was the best part of my birthday, I got gifts! Really cool ones!
