[TWS: BLOOD, SELF HARM, IMPLIED ABUSE, PANIC ATTACK, POSSESSIVENESS.]

Amdis should have learned by now, this lesson had been taught to him many times.

"Do not fall in love with mortals. They are too fragile for your clumsy, oafish hands."

He should have learned, he should have learned from Lenore, to choose another immortal like himself.

And yet, here he was, finding himself lusting after a human.

He didn't want to, he really didn't, he wanted to forget this man ever existed. He wanted to hole up in a castle and simply feed upon any unfortunate rodent or human to wander upon it. But he couldn't.

Because like the many before, this human gave Amdis the one thing he yearned for constantly.

Attention, affection, and love.

And like the many before, he would befall the same fate. Or so Amdis thought.

The vampire had always been careful with feeding on his lovers. He thought he was, he was trying to be gentle, like he promised. But so many had been victims of Amdis being too greedy, too needy.

Not this one.

If Amdis fed too much, instead of staying silently devoted to him, this one would instead swat at Amdis until he let go, after which the blonde would pamper and apologize to the mortal profusely. He wouldn't let him get up and move around until the proper amount of blood had been made once more.

Amdis liked this one.

He wasn't afraid, he wasn't afraid of Amdis, of his teeth, of being killed for affiliating with vampiric entities.

Quite the opposite, this one was. Whether that be a good or bad thing.

But, as all humans do, he also made rash desicions without thinking through them.

"Silas, what have you done? Placing this curse upon yourself, what were you thinking? Were you thinking at all?" Amdis could hear his voice becoming louder.

They are too fragile for your clumsy, oafish hands.

"You're going to watch everyone you know now and will in the future die around you, Silas, you cannot make yourself immortal without thinking these things through!"

What Silas spoke after shattered Amdis.

"You're all I have, Amdis."

Amdis stared at his lover, his precious treasure for a beat. "What if I'm not, then? What if a vampire hunter came through the door and drove a wooden stake through my heart? You'd be left in this pitiful world alone, my dear. You'd be left alone for all eternity, until the end of time."

Clumsy. Oafish. Hands.

Silas might have said something more, but Amdis didn't process it. Instead he wrapped his arms around his delicate flower, and placed his head on Silas's shoulder.

"I'm sorry for getting angry, Silas." Amdis murmured.

Silas hummed in response, kissing Amdis's head softly and gently playing with the blonde's hair.

"I like how that feels. The humming." Amdis mumbled.

Silas smiled softly. "Yeah?"

His darling porcelain doll, his glass vase, his delicate flower, his lover, this man. He made Amdis feel less clumsy, less oafish.
