In just a few hours, the Octonauts had not only rescued Tweak, and not only had they egained Shellington and Dashi, but they were all almost killed by a swarm of maniacal Vegimal-like creatures, which they all successfully fought off.
They had no idea how that was even possible, but they all knew it was an extremely lucky miracle, as they hugged each other just a little bit tighter.
"Shellington! Dashi! You're alive!" the crew heard Vivi shout in excitement. They turned as she and Gary ran up the hill, ecstatic to see the whole crew back together again. They opened their arms and hugged the two tightly, and Gary pulled away and looked her over, confused. "You're... you're wearing your hair back!" he said.
Dashi laughed, knowing he was saying the exact same as what Shellington had said about her earlier. "What of it?" she asked.
"Nothing," he replied. "It just... looks beautiful."
"Oh, thanks!" she said with a grin.
"I said that to her earlier!" Shellington said, before looking at the rest of the crew with a smile.
"Octonauts," he began. "I need to show you something."
"Okay," Peso said. "What is it?"
"Would you like to sound the Octo-Alert, Captain?"Barnacles did so, from his compass, and Shellington closed his eyes, took a deep breath and moved his paws forward as the wind whispered in the trees, heading north. The Octonauts were interested by whatever Shellington was up to and wondered exactly what he was doing.
"Matey, what in the seven seas are ye doing?" Kwazii asked, starting to become impatient.
"You'll see," Shellington whispered as he kept his eyes closed and focused.
The wind blew through the trees, sweeping water droplets off of the weakest branches both high and low. Before they reached the ground, they turned into sparkles. Soon, more droplets rose from the petals of flowers and from the clouds above. Shellington continued to move his paws, manipulating the sparkles and making them spin and flutter as they raced across the land, heading south.
"Thank goodness the Dobhransiabann create their own sidekicks." he said softly, embracing this aspect of his species with a smile. He moved his paws apart, and the wind released the sparkles, falling from the sky aimlessly and beginning to settle into familiar shapes.
This is when the Octonauts knew what was happening.
Tunip and the Vegimals were back.
Their eyes fluttered open, and they looked at everyone in surprise.
"Shellington?" Tunip chirped. "You're alive!"
"Cheepa cheepa!" the rest of the Vegimals chirped happily as Shellington hugged them, relieved that his best friends were okay. The rest of the crew soon joined him, and their hearts and minds were full of life again, now that the Vegimals had come back to life.
They all felt on top of the world now.
No, not just on top of the world - they all felt UNSTOPPABLE.
And now that they had all seven treasures, they could now restore the Oca-Tree so it could generate magic energy again, so that it could get Aeseganora back up and running again.
NOTICE: It is with great sadness that I announce that this chapter is the first out of at least five in Appendix III, the final appendix in this story, so this story - the first part - only has a few chapters to go.
So, I guess you could say that this is the beginning of the end (but it's only of the first story, though - Parts 2 and 3 are still in the works, so don't worry!)
