Waking up the next morning was hard, my muscles were sore and aching from all the cleaning I had done the day prior.

Yet at the same time I was excited, as this meant only one day left until Salem gets here. I wonder what he's going to be like now, it has been years since we last spoke, let alone saw one another.

After getting out of my thoughts I force myself to get out of bed and do my regular morning routine. Once finished I picked out an outfit to wear then headed downstairs to make myself some breakfast.

After eating the pancakes I made I grabbed my basket and headed outside to my garden to harvest.

After three hours I had five baskets full of fruits, vegetables, and herbs. I took everything inside, washed them, and then put them in the fridge.

I went back outside to tend to the animals and the goats were ready to be milked again, while the cows could go a couple more days.

Once I got the goats milked I took the bucket to the fridge in the barn. I then made my way to the chickens and gathered the eggs.

While taking those inside I saw my uncle coming from the shed that we used to make our milk, and he had something in his hand.

"The milk is all ready to be used, I saw we were getting low so I came out to check, and I know you were planning on baking." he said, making me smile.

"Thank you uncle Ben, I can take it to the kitchen if you want, I'm heading there now to get started."

Uncle Ben smiled at me gently before saying, "Thank you sweetie, I have some more work to get done but it shouldn't take me long." I just smiled at him telling him to take his time before he left back to his office.

I then made my way to the kitchen to start baking, but before I could start I needed music. I went over to the radio we keep in the kitchen and set it to my favorite music station and turned it up, but not loud enough to bother my uncle.

I then grabbed my apron and got to work, spending hours in the kitchen, only leaving to use the bathroom.

I spent probably six hours baking the treats for when Salem gets here. I made cookies, brownies, cupcakes, scones, and muffins.

But all the hours spent were well worth it, the house now smelled of the wonderful treats I had spent hours on.

The only thing left to do was to frost the cupcakes, which I decided to do after making dinner as they needed time to cool, or else the frosting would melt and my hard work would have been for nothing.

I got everything ready for dinner as it was still too early to eat. Once everything was prepared I decided to check my cupcakes, as I realized I was too impatient to wait until after dinner, and luckily they were completely cool and ready to be frosted.

I got to work making my buttercream frosting, and halfway through frosting the cupcakes I decided to add some food coloring to make a nice light purple color.

I then finished the rest of my cupcakes with the new colored frosting and then put them in the fridge for the buttercream to set.

By the time I finished my cupcakes I still had another hour until dinner time and I needed to shower.

While heading to my room I saw uncle Ben in the living room watching tv, "I'm going to shower and then I'm going to start dinner. Sounds good?" I asked.

"Sounds perfect sweetie, I'll be here." I nodded at him then headed upstairs to shower.

When I got into the bathroom I noticed I had frosting on my face and immediately ran down the stairs, "Why didn't you tell me I had frosting on my face!" I said to my uncle feigning hurt.

"Oops!" he said looking away and back at the tv, but the grin on his face showed he was enjoying this. I huffed at him and went back upstairs to shower.

After finishing I put on some pajamas and headed to the kitchen to start dinner. I quickly got to work, grabbing the things I prepared from the fridge and putting it on the stove to cook. It only took me about thirty minutes to finish everything.

Though when I went to set the table I saw uncle Ben already doing it, "You didn't have to do that. I know you worked today, but thank you." I said while smiling at him.

He just waved me off and I went back into the kitchen to dish out our food. When I came back uncle Ben was already seated, so I gave him his plate and then went and sat down in my seat.

We said our prayers and began eating, "Are you excited for tomorrow?" I asked him.

"Yes I haven't seen him in five years," he said, making me confused.

"You saw him five years ago? Why didn't he come see me?" I said sadly.

"It's because I happened to be in the city he works in while on a trip for work so I asked if he wanted to meet up, which he did," he told me.

I nodded feeling slightly less hurt, even though I know I shouldn't.

Once we finished our dinner we decided on another movie night, but that idea was quickly thrown out the window when we found a show we had both been wanting to watch.

So we spent the next several hours watching episode after episode. We stopped after about six episodes to get some snacks and drinks and then went back to the couch to watch some more.

We stopped after we got to the last episode in the first season and both of us headed upstairs. Uncle Ben went to bed while I got comfy in bed with a book after doing my night routine.

I was up until well past two in the morning, getting lost in the pages of my books. Lately I've started to read some books on the riskier side.

The mafia, and dark romance books have been my go to lately, the ones with the most smut preferably.

Sometimes I wish I could go out and experience the sensations the girls in my books feel when they are with a man. I'm nearly seventeen and have never even had a boyfriend.

The most interactions I get from the outside world are when the mailman comes or when Father Jake comes to visit us.

After a while I found myself getting tired, so I put my bookmark in the page I stopped at and placed my book on my nightstand. I then turned off my fairy lights and rolled over and went to sleep, once again dreaming of my prince.

The next morning I woke up surprisingly easy, even though I went to bed so late. After doing my morning routine I head downstairs and make myself breakfast and then grab my basket to harvest.

Not much needed to be harvested today since I did so much yesterday. Once I finished that I went and checked on the animals, finding that they had already been fed. I gave them a few pets and was on my way back inside.

Since I didn't have much to do I went to the kitchen and pulled out all the baked goods and arranged them on the table in a way that looked nice.

When I finally liked the way everything looked I went to my room and grabbed my book from my nightstand before heading to my library.

For hours I got lost in my reading when I heard a knock on the front door, thankful for having left my door slightly open in order to hear when Salem got here. Quickly putting my bookmark back into my book, I carefully set it down and ran downstairs.

When I got to the bottom of the steps I made my way towards the front door. Finally reaching my destination I see him, and my jaw drops.

He looks so different from when I last saw him, he seemed to have grown a whole other foot completely towering over my five foot two frame.

Once he finally spotted me a huge smile grew on his face and I ran towards him to give him a hug. When he embraced me his scent of pine and smoke hit me at full force, the smell so comforting and nostalgic.

"I missed you," I said, smiling at him.

"I missed you too, flower," he said using my old nickname, and giving me a kiss on the forehead, making my heart beat faster than it already was.

Uncle Ben showed him to his room while I went to the kitchen and waited for them, excited for him to try all the stuff I made for him, as well as thinking how glad I am he's home.
