After a few moments of reassuring silence, the two got up and began to get ready for bed.

Five walked their plates down to the kitchen, leaving them in the sink, filling two glasses of water, and quickly returning to the girl upstairs.

Upon his return, he found her leaving her bathroom, and removing the extra pillows off her bed. The boy joins her, placing a glass on her nightstand, and moving to place down his own, before helping her pull back the duvet.

"Thanks." she smiles, her eyes catching the glass of water he left for her, receiving a nod as he leaves the room to quickly brush his teeth, the girl moving to her bathroom to do the same.

As she brushes, looking at the corner of the sink, lost in thought, she realizes something. Five had not been blinking around as he normally would, he was walking from one room to another. To anyone else, this wouldn't be odd, but she knew better. As she finishes brushing her teeth, and moves back to her bed, removing her sweater and socks before pulling the covers back, she wonders what's brought this change in him.

For as long as she'd known him he always moved too fast for the world around him, his mind, his body, hence his constant use of his powers, they allowed him to move around quicker. As children she'd get annoyed because he would often leave without her, leaving her to go searching for him, as they got older, they became accustomed to him bringing her with him.

So, he was walking down to the kitchen and back, and from bedroom to bedroom, which was odd to her, especially as he'd been doing it all day.

The boy in question returns to her room, pausing in the doorway, watching her as she stares at the rug on her floor deep in thought, her eyebrows furrowed.

"What's wrong Flower?"

His voice startles her out of her thoughts her eyes leaving the floor and meeting his own. "Nothing," she hums, "Just had a thought."

"About?" he wonders.

"You," she states, moving to get under her covers.

"Me?" he questions, moving into the room, and sitting on his side of her bed. "What about me?"

"I just noticed something is all." she smiles softly at him. "Something different."

Her statement made him huff a laugh, "Oh yeah? Care to elaborate?"

"It's just..." she pauses, collecting her thoughts, "I noticed you haven't been using your powers...are you feeling okay?"

"Am I feeling okay?" he asks laughing slightly, debating if he should tell her the real reason behind his odd behavior or if he should just let it be swept under the rug."Flower I feel fine beyond the impending doom."

"Oh, okay." she smiles, moving under her covers and lying down, the boy follows her actions as they both turn out their lights.

The pair lay in silence, taking in the fact that they were in each other's presence for the first time in both 16 and 45 years. So much had happened, and neither was the same person they were when he left.

The girl takes in the warmth coming off him, and his scent, which earlier in the day she could barely remember, and now she could breathe him in. She thought about all he'd been through, what was to come for them and everyone else.

Next to her, the boy lies on his back staring at the ceiling, debating if he should tell her why he hadn't been using her powers, or if he should let her believe everything was fine. Then he thought about the impending doom and what would become of them, of her, if he weren't to stop it...
