July 25

It's day three of our vacation and we're at a market. Very cozy, if I'm being honest. There are lots of stalls set up along the street we're walking on, with everything from food and clothes to bags and jewelry. You can find just about anything.

Sarah and I are walking together as the others aren't as interested as we are. They're somewhere behind us, more engrossed in their own conversations than focused on what's around them.

We stop at a jewelry stall. Sarah picks up a gold bracelet. "Look how pretty, should I get one like this for Rose?"

"I think you should," I say, smiling as I look at some of the other jewelry.

I wait for Sarah to pay before we can move on. The guys come up to us. Rafe gives me a kiss on the cheek as he stops beside me.

"What a shame you arrived just as we're about to leave. Come on, Addie!" Sarah says dragging me away from the others.

"We're coming," Topper says, following us along with Nathan. Kelce is about to join when Rafe stops him.

"You go ahead. I'll be there soon," Rafe tells us, to which I nod. Maybe he thought the jewelry was nice and wanted something. He does have several pieces he looks good in, so it wouldn't surprise me.

We stop at a few more places. One of them is a clothing stall. I pick up a cute pink skirt. Sarah smiles when she sees me holding it up. "You should definitely get it," she says, smiling. "Rafe would love it."

I smile and turn to Rafe, who's walking towards us. He puts something in his pocket before stopping in front of me. He has a very broad, almost secretive smile on his lips. "What do you think?" I ask.

"Looks great on you, but even better off," he says, smiling, which earns him a glance from me. There are actually people around us.

"Then I'll buy it," I say and pay the woman at the cashier of the small stall. Rafe holds up a cute dress. "You'd look great in this," he says, smiling.

"Maybe," I say.

Once we're done at the market, we decide to swim at the beach next to the city. It's a hot day, so it's really something I think we need.

I'm wearing my light blue bikini and I can feel Rafe's eyes on me the whole time as I walk along the water.

The water is cool against my body, which feels nice on a hot day like this. Sarah is in front of me with Topper. They're holding hands, and I have to admit they're actually pretty cute together. Kelce and Nathan are behind me along with Rafe.

Not for long though. I feel Rafe's arms come around me from behind as he hugs me while we walk. In the next moment, I'm up in the air, and he's carrying me while continuing along the water.

"Put me down," I say, but I can't help but laugh.

"Forget it," Rafe says. I just know he's enjoying what he's doing right now.

"Please," I say. "Otherwise, there'll be no sex tonight."

"This will be worth it," Rafe says, who increases his speed, and when we're deep enough for the water to touch Rafe's waist, he drops me into the water. But not gently, almost throwing me so I splash down like a huge water bomb.

I emerge from the water ready to get back at Rafe, but he's too strong and wraps his arms around my shoulders. He looks really good with wet hair, and I can't help but stare at him.

My lips touch his, and he kisses me back slowly. It's one of those kisses that are just so amazing in every possible way, and I love it. I could stand here and kiss him for hours. Forever.

"Get a room," Nathan says, walking behind us with Kelce, both with disgusted expressions.

"Not my fault you guys don't have girlfriends," I say, smiling.

"At least you have each other if things go south," Rafe says teasingly, which prompts Nathan and Kelce to wrap their arms around each other and pretend to kiss, and I can't help but laugh.

"Oh, Kelce," Nathan moans.

"Nate, oh," Kelce moans, laughing and poking Nathan.

"We leave you two for two minutes, and these two are eating each other's faces, and then you do it too?" Topper says as he swims up in the water with Sarah right behind him.

Rafe rolls his eyes, ignoring Topper's comment. We're all standing next to each other in the water. It's truly a fantastic summer day. One of those days you wish you could have forever.

"If only we could just live out the rest of our youth instead of starting college or working," Topper sighs.

"You mean like the Pogues?" Kelce asks, laughing.

"No, not like that. More like Kook style," Topper says. "Just like we're doing now."

"Exactly, why are you even going to college if you don't want to? Are you just going to leave me here still in school with Topper working all the time?" Sarah says, disappointment in her voice.

"Unfortunately, it's the only choice we have to have good opportunities in our future, and you know that, Sarah," Rafe says.

And he's probably right. To have as good a future as possible, we need to go to college, even though it'll be awful to leave each other at the end of the summer and not see each other for almost a year. I'm afraid we'll change. That things will change.

A/N:
I'm so sorry for this short and boring chapter, but hopefully I'll publish one more today! It's just been so much in school lately and I'm so tired all the time 🥲

I'm sitting outside right now while writing and I love it!
