~THE NIGHT WE MET~
"Hailey, wait! " my best friend called after me. I turned around annoyed and saw her staggering after me, looking pretty tired. It was already 3am and we were extremely drunk. Nevertheless quickly because I was in a bad mood.
I just wanted to go home and it was the biggest mistake of my life to go to this party.
Not only was my beautiful dress spilled on by some chick, no, I also had a one-night stand that I didn't even know the name of.(Review)
Outerbanks, an island with two tribes. Where you either have two houses or two jobs. The rich, also called kooks, live on Figure 8, the rich side of Outerbanks, where I also live.
The other side is the Cut. This is where the poor live, also known as the Pogues
However, almost all the students go to the same high school, Kildare county school.
I've lived in Outerbanks for about 4 years now, since I moved here with my mom. There were several reasons for this. Firstly, it was my dad who had extreme alcohol and drug problems and then there was also my older brother. My brother, Thomas, attracted bad stuff. He got involved in every argument that was possible and had already been in prison a few times. My mother and I haven't had it easy since then, but in Outerbanks we have our own little world.
I feel very comfortable and welcome here, even though I don't quite know Figure 8
and the cut. l'm just putting my past behind me and looking to the future,
which is why I no longer have contact with my dad and brother. That was always the best thing for me as I can't cope any other way.I went to a kook party with my best friend, Sarah Cameron, that we were invited to
We quickly got dressed up at her house beforehand. I put on this dressAnd sarah put on this:
We both curled our hair, put on gold jewelry and finally put on our make-up. That was it and we walked to the party, as it wasn't far from Sarah's home.
If I had known what to expect beforehand, I would have thought twice.
A second time.We stood in front of the entrance door, where security was already standing, scanning us to see if we had anything illegal with us. I was actually really excited and they also checked our IDs to see if we were already seventeen. I wasn't seventeen for a few days, so I had to falsify my ID.
But I was let in anyway because nobody noticed. "Thank God!" I thought to myself, because I was really up for this house party at first. We were already slightly drunk when my friend was pulled onto the dance floor by her boyfriend.
His name is Topper and he's one of the Kook guys. I actually really like him, but he's always so selfish and the conflicts with the Pogues are always so unnecessary. He was a really good friend of mine and the three of us have often done things together.
The good thing about my best friend is that she never leaves me alone. If she had to choose between me and him, she would choose me. I'm also a kook, but that doesn't mean that just because I'm rich, I'm automatically a snob.
Now I was standing alone at the bar with my tequila in my hand, staring into the crowd. Suddenly, someone sits down next to me at the bar. "Two shot glasses, please!" said the handsome young man with his blond hair falling into his face.
He probably noticed that I was staring at him, which is why he looked at me and smiled. His ocean blue eyes sparkled, despite the darkness. I smiled back and then the bartender came and gave him the two glasses of schnapps. "On the house!" he said and winked at us.
The boy next to me, however, pushed one of the glasses over to me and downed his in one go. I was a little confused for a moment, but tried not to let it show. I
took the glass and drank it down in one go too. Wow. I'd never had anything this strong before. I choked on it, making the blonde next to me laugh briefly.
