I've never been fond of waiting for anyone; it's heart-wrenching when the person you eagerly await never returns,. Just like how I waited for my father to return home four years ago. It was a special day for me, but he never returned. Instead, all that came back to our home was his lifeless body. And since that day, I've vowed to not wait for anyone. Yet here I am, anxiously waiting for the one man for whom I would change all my principles and rules. Yes, you heard it right, I'm waiting for Vihaan. After being a coward for four years, I'm finally going to face him and beg for his forgiveness-for breaking his heart, for breaking my own heart. Perhaps it will lighten the heaviness inside my chest whenever I think about him.
With each passing second, my anticipation and anxiety grew. As I waited for him, my mind traveled back to one of the most beautiful moments of my life-the moment I met the love of my life for the first time.
Flashback:
"You are looking hot in this dress, Aadhya," my friend Pooja said while admiring my outfit. I smirked at her and said, "Of course, I look hot in everything. But this one is special; my brother gifted it to me on my birthday," I said while removing her hands from my designer handbag.
Everyone calls me a spoiled brat, maybe I am, because I'm the only daughter of Raichand's. And my dad and brother spare no expense in spoiling me.
"There is no doubt that you are the most beautiful girl on our campus, but why don't you date anyone?" Sitara, my other friend, asked in a mocking tone.
Bitches, I know they all are just with me because of my money. They all think that I'm dumb because all I know is how to spend money. They think that I'm incapable of maintaining a relationship. How much I wish to leave them all. But I cannot do such things because they are the first friends I made after joining the college. They welcomed me here even though it was all because of either my money or my brother. I cannot forget how they didn't let other people bully me. I'm spoiled but not ungrateful.
