12. Taking you on a secret date night

"Get ready, car is picking you up at 7pm x" you read the text as you walked into your apartment.

"What?" you muttered as you kicked your shoes off at the door.

Catching you completely by surprise, as Pablo was making his way back to recovery you wasn't expecting any date nights for a while as he had been busy with gym work and going to games.

You realise you only had an hour to get ready as you were back from work later than you had anticipated and not expecting to be going out.

As Pablo gave you no instructions as to where you were going. You decided that casual was the best option, a pair of jeans and a cute jumper as the weather in Barcelona was still a little bit on the chillier side.

Having to reapply your makeup, just before you headed off as you heard the car outside beep as you peeked through the window.

Grabbing your handbag as you ran straight down to the car.

"Hi" you smiled at the driver as you jumped in, not sure where you were driven to yet.

You kept staring out of the window in hope that you were given any clues of where you were going.

"Here we are" the driver smiled as he pulled up outside a small looking restaurant.

You waved the car off as you got into the restaurant, noticing how there was nobody in here.

"Hello?" you shouted as you hovered at the door, not really knowing who was around.

"Hi, you made it" Pablo smiled as he embraced you in a cuddle.

"Yes, what are we doing here? There is nowhere here? it seems a bit strange that nobody is here" you told Pablo as you looked around as the waiters were moving around.

 "I got the restaurant for just us, I hope that is okay and I wanted it to be a secret date night just for us" you grinned.

"This sounds just perfect, thank you Pabs. I love the idea, you really are a hopeless romantic aren't you" you grabbed his cheek and kissed him.

"Yeah I think so" he smiled as he pulled out your chair as the waiter handed you a menu.

"I don't know what I actually fancy, but this place is really cute. It is funny I literally work round the corner and have never been in here before you smiled as you scanned the menu.

"Hmm think I will have the burger, really craving one" you ordered as you handed the menu back to the waiter as you looked through the drink's menu.

"I think I may get a cocktail, would that be okay?" you asked Pablo as he nodded. "Course it is" he smiled as you ordered a strawberry daquiri as you watched as the waiters scurrying around the empty restaurant.

"It is lovely here, thank you for doing this. It feels special when it is just us here and feels kind of weird though" you laughed as the waiter gave the drinks.

"Why is it weird?" Pablo asked as he put his hands across the table.

"Dunno, usually they are super busy but now they just have us to serve and basically do nothing" you laughed as you felt a little embarrassed.

The waiter placed the food in front of you both.

"Thank you so much" you smiled

"Yours look so good" you smiled as he shook his head, knowing that you wanted some of his.

"Is that a little hint?" you laughed as you slyly nodded.

"I know you too well" he smirked as he handed over a piece of his food. The rest of the meal was perfect, just enjoying each other's company.
