I have to look good, This is the first time I'm going to meet an in-law, I don't think Anna, my sister has marriage on her checklist.
I don't wanna look scary cause I'm not Alessandro so I wear a black shirt with black ripped jeans and my Air Jordan 1 with a jacket.
Fun fact: I picked this outfit out myself, you can say I'm the outfit slayer in the family well except for Anna (don't compare our clothes).
I walk out of the door picking up my phone and keys.
"Oh hey you came just in time I made your favorite," I hear our chef Eve say as I pass the kitchen "Hey Eve I'm going out, but I'll see you when I come back," I say winking at her before walking out.
"Sir, are you going out?" I hear a guard say "Yeah, I am" I answer.
I get into my BMW M2 and turn it on speeding out of the mansion as the sets of gates open.
It's supposed to be a 1 hour drive but I'll reach there in 30 minutes.
30 minutes later
I walk out of my car staring at her office "Ok Mariano this is it, first time meeting your in-law, hope she's not as bad as Jane," I mutter walking into the office.
"Shit I don't have her number," I say as I walk to her front desk.
"OH MY GOD I know you, you are Mariano Leone," I hear a girl standing beside the front desk
"I'm Carina, Camila's assistant," She says stretching her hand for a handshake.
"Oh, I'm Mariano," I say shaking her hand.
"Anyway," I say running my fingers through my hair.
"I'm here for Camila, she doesn't know but my brother sent me," I say "Oh um.. I follow me then," She says.
"Oh ok," I say as we enter a private elevator.
There is a very awkward tension in the elevator as we wait for it to come to a stop.
"So you want to talk to her?" She asks and I shake my head "No, I'm taking her home," I answer "Oh" She says.
"Here we are, wait here let me tell her that you're here," She says and I nod as she walks into a room.
Carina comes out walking to me "Ok you can come in," She says pointing at the door "Thanks," I respond.
I knock on the door "Yes?" I hear an exhausted voice "Oh hey," She says smiling.
It was more awkward than I expected this to go.
"I'm Mariano, " I say "I know that," She says smiling "I'm here to take you home, since my brother feels more important than you," I mutter making her laugh.
"So he's... uh like waiting?" She asks "Yeah," I answer "Let me get my stuff," She says.
"Should I wait outside?" I ask her "Yeah, I'll be out in a minute," She answers getting up from her seat.
Well, she is different from my thought, like a good different.
I walk out of her office pulling my phone out of my pocket.
I dial a number and it starts ringing
"What?" I hear Alessandro say "What are you doing?" I ask "None of your business, just get her here," He answers "Oh, so now you want to see her?" I ask "Bruh, just get her here!" He says "Ok! Jeez, say please much?" I mutter and he ends the call.
I turn around seeing Carina look at me like a crazy person.
"I'm not the crazy person, Alessandro is, but don't ever look at him like that you... might not like what will happen," I say and she laughs looking at me like she's watching a movie.
"Why do the both of you have different views of him?" She suddenly asks "What?" I ask her not understanding.
"You think he is crazy, selfish, and impatient, Camila thinks he is stupid, impatient, and controlling but everyone else thinks he is cute, hot, and rich," She says.
"Cause they're crazy," Camila says out of nowhere "Ugh someone understands," I say scoffing.
We should do a video for him What we see vs. what they see.
"Are you ready?" I ask "Yeah," She answers.
"Carina bye, don't stay in this place for too long go home early think of this as a break for today," She says as she walks over to hug me.
"Thank you, I love you," She says "Ew no don't say that you are freaking me out, after your little talk about Marian-" She gets cut off by her putting her hand over her lips and pointing her head at me?
"Oh sorry bye," She says as I give them weird looks.
We walk into the elevator and I press the ground floor button.
"You and Alessandro are so different," She breaks the silence "Thank you for saying I am human," I answer as we both laugh at my joke.
The elevator opens and we walk out.
